Lovely fathers day. Turns out the wives planned for us all to be together for a cook.

Rotisserie Pork rubbed with @wingfestuk BBQ rub. Spuds. Cabbage and Apple.

Lovely wee cook this. The crackling turned out proper boss. Shame it doesn't agree with my cubans. FWWife is happy though.

Cooking risotto with a view.

Chicken and Chorizo for the carnivores. And Prawns and veggie chorizo for the resident veggie.

Might of been unsupervised at the butchers yesterday. This cracking bit of beast was just beautiful from start to finish.

I love an Aga. But cooking on one can be a challenge! I also school boy left my probes at home.
.
Plenty of meat on this 4kg rib of beef. Plenty of dead for the well done folk (yes, sadly I know some) and way much more for the real carnivores.

It's been a while since posting on here. Been busy with life I guess.

I miss a shit load of you lot. I hope you're all doing well. You'll be pleased to know that I am still grilling.

This post ain't grill related, meat related, cook related, drink related...etc etc
.
However this post should partially explain my lengthy absence from my BBQ IG account.
.
It's simple really.
.
Family.
.
Please, raise a glass and give this beauty a cheers.

For the past few months my wife has been working extra shifts for the NHS. Vaccinating us fine folk. She signed up for this straight after her redeployment (to a Covid ICU) ended.
.
This evening we found out that the centre where she was working has just closed its doors. Hopefully for the final time.
.
Blown away to hear that the final count of people vaccinated at this centre totalled a whopping 92,670!
.
I'm incredibly proud of my wife. She powered on, continued to sign up and ultimately went front line to combat Covid19.
.
You rock all of our worlds Helen.

Gone and done dem dino wings.
.
Wow. These beauties was huge! Inspired to get these since seeing some of the community having a go. Especially @jacksmeatshack, @edge_bbq and @bbqlads recent cook with them for @wingfestuk .
.
These were all rubbed up @angusandoink , Thai Rub Me Long Time, smoked with cherry chips round the vortex and sauce up good and proper with some buffalo from @meatlust
.
Wee mug of @boursincheese dip and some buttered sweetcorn.
.
Great pre holiday cook. Will defo be doing these again. Especially as my legendary butcher, @littlebutcher123 filled his freezer for me.

Absolutely blinding cook yesterday. After 6 months of planning my pal @thackwar and I got the cook of dreams on.
.
4 5kg suckling pig on the @onlyfireoutdoor rotisserie. Bloomin lovely piece of meat, so moist and great smokey flavour from the apple chunks. Great cook and will definitely do this again.
.
Lovely piece of Aberdeen Angus hung over the fire pit, basted with rosemary and butter throughout. This was actually just for a bit of fun. Turned out to be fully mint.
.
Couple of trout stuffed with butter, dill and lemon chunks. Wrapped in foil and put on the fire pit until ready for consumption.
.
All in all, a smashing day with fantastic company and an jncredible menu.

Squished some meat on the plancher. Melted some cheese and stuck it in a toasted bun. Woof.
