Day 9: After 10 amazing days, the trip comes to an end. The cars are loaded onto a truck and we get loaded onto a plane. Before our flights, we enjoy a morning and afternoon together. Going into this trip, I thought my favorite highlights would be driving. Instead, they were often moments when we were all together, creating memories, laughing until we cried, and enjoying each other’s company. What an amazing group of people.

One final morning walk in Boise. After all of the small towns we’ve spent time in, this feels like a big city. By contrast, when we first arrived, Boise felt so small.

Back at Neckar Coffee. Our last time enjoying a great cup of coffee as a full group.

We made our way to the cars, taking stock of the signs of enjoyment they picked up along the journey.

I love this thing.

One final drive together. These have become a familiar view.

Arrival at our pick-up spot. The truck arrived at the exact same time thanks to some @og_amer logistics magic. 🪄

The ride home for our cars.

Heading back home to LA, only to have to get on a plane to NYC just 5 hours later for work. Little did I know, I’d miss two flights and end up in NYC a day late.

Two days later, while I’m in NYC, we receive a pic from @rstrada, letting us know our cars arrived back in LA safely. Even after nearly 1500 miles of driving, I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel, and go for another coffee run. See you soon 👋🏼. by @flat6memories

Day 8: McCall, ID all the way back to where it started, in Boise, ID. The last full day of the trip. We wandered unfamiliar towns, took the long way, started conversations with strangers, stayed up drinking… the list goes on. With the right group of people, sometimes the days with the least planned can feel even more fun.

Eagerly awaiting that first cold start on a chilly morning.

Lake towns like this remind me of where I grew up in Michigan.

Moments you capture when you explore small towns like this.

Breakfast views were on point.

The coffee, sadly, was not.

We still found ourselves driving down some wonderful roads today.

Guards Red fire rescue?

It was indeed.

Reminding you that this is the coffee run, not an ice cream run.

@viewlius excited to have found the food of his people.

45 minutes later 💀💀

The local radio station behind the restaurant let us wander inside their studio.

The local DJ told us the stories behind the memorabilia covering the walls.

Vibes.

Still chasing down @og_amer.

Arrival back at our first hotel of the trip.

Because what else do you do upon arrival?

Cheers!

Of course the nightcap has to include coffee as well. taken in Boise, Idaho by @flat6memories

Day 7: Missoula, MT to McCall, ID. Today’s roads are the driving highlight of the journey. The sign is self-explanatory. The cars eat up every single mile. 5+ hours of winding roads is something to behold.

First though, coffee. Today’s spot is @floreo.coffee. Floreo is nestled behind a neighborhood and sits along railroad tracks. Beautiful. The coffee was stellar.

Plants drape throughout the cafe.

Life-saving work.

Fuel up for hours of winding roads.

Are you tired of seeing the back of @og_amer yet?

One more for good measure.

The little GT4 impressed.

Flow state.

Pit stop.

Stopping to smell the flowers.

And walk on a bridge.

The view from the bridge.

99 miles later, a delicious food truck.

I’ve had too many burgers on this trip…

@og_amer’s rear end has been replaced.

Just kidding.

An old church with a bar inside 🤔.

Affogato run after how many calories I’ve consumed on this trip…

One last stop to see the time zone bridge before arriving in McCall. See you on Day 8 ✌🏼. taken in Missoula, Montana by @flat6memories

Day 6: Our second morning in Whitefish, MT. Such a charming little town. For me, some of my favorite memories of the trip were made here. Today we have a relaxing drive to Missoula—the launch point for our most intense and fun day of driving yet. Today’s morning was saved by a coffee spot discovered by none other than @neil65p.

Our home for the past two nights. The signage is cool. The rooms… not so much. Regardless, this hotel was home to some great conversations over drinks with friends.

Good to have these two in tow.

@og_amer Irish touring on country back roads is a vibe.

Lunch stop with a view.

The view.

The vibes. (They were on point.)

@chaseofspades_ approved.

Impromptu rock-skipping tournament. @chaseofspades_ gets an A+ for form.

Flathead Lake is gorgeous.

It’s beginning to feel like a Coffee Run again!

It’s rare we find a good flat white at our mid-point coffee stops. This one was great.

Bummer.

This crew makes every moment better.

Welcome to beautiful Missoula.

Rooftop bar at our hotel was a welcomed surprise.

Time to explore (ft. @chaseofspades_)

We’ve spent a lot of time along rivers during this trip, and it hasn’t gotten old.

Ice cream run or coffee run? You decide. Until tomorrow for some mega roads ✌🏼. taken in Missoula, Montana by @flat6memories

Day 5: Finally arrived at Glacier National Park, the namesake of this year’s Coffee Run. The views were breathtaking, but the weather made us wait for it.

On the road by 5:00a, with plans to be the first at the park, and to watch the sunrise bathe the mountains in light.

Wait, where are the views?

Bottled coffee 🤢 from the frunk of @daft9000’s ST while we wait for the weather to clear.

We gave up and decided to go back down in search of views elsewhere and were met with a treat. @dau53r — you might hate your 992 cab, but it looks damn good here!

Turned out to be a tease. Still lacking (some) views.

@chaseofspades_ demonstrating how it’s supposed to look and making us all feel even more sad.

Off to find breakfast while we wait for the clouds to dissipate.

I have at least 100 photos of @rhodabueno’s RS.

A very American diner, 15 minutes away from the Canadian border.

Hunting for back-up views.

Found them.

Adventuring with friends is the best.

Making our way back to the site of our first attempt at seeing views.

At last, the clouds were gone, and revealed everything we couldn’t see earlier.

Success.

Great chats.

The day finished with a dinner surprise, courtesy of @og_amer.

A gorgeous rooftop setting to end a perfect day. This only marks the halfway point of our trip.

Day 4: A sunny brisk morning after a fun night with friends. The resort we rented out is nestled along the river, engulfed by nature. A little piece of paradise on our journey.

@melkcoffeeco 🇬🇧 — the unofficial Glacier Coffee Run sponsor, courtesy of @neil65p

Good chats with friends over breakfast, with the sound of the river rushing by. These are the best mornings.

Great memories were made here.

Solar eclipse or giant wing?

Clouds of moisture billow out of the cars as smoke from the chimney settles around us.

Ready for a long day of driving as we make our way to Whitefish, MT. First, coffee.

Crawling through the forest in search of civilization.

Crew in tow.

The scenery has been teasing us the entire journey. The best is yet to come.

A sight for sore eyes after struggling to find coffee shops along our journey.

Impatiently waiting for the first sip.

Cheers!

I’ve been looking at the rear of these cars for quite a while. There are certainly worse views.

The mountains are getting taller.

Lots of long sweeping roads today, making for a more relaxing journey.

Oh deer!

Behold, a coffee shop with no barista (yes, you heard that right).

Our last day with @fbd9000 on the Coffee Run.

Arrived in Whitefish, MT. The day finished with dinner and drinks, sans camera. Some memories aren’t meant to be shared. Tomorrow is an early start: 5:00a. I shouldn’t have had that last glass of wine… taken in Bitterroot Valley Montana by @flat6memories

Day 2: A surprising lack of coffee on day two of the coffee run. So much so, that I’ve begun to ration it. On a serious note, today brought the views. Idaho, you’ve been lovely. Next up: Montana. taken in Salmon, Idaho by @flat6memories
