906 ECLIPSE
It’s one thing to visualize an image… it’s another to actually make it happen… and this one turned out even better than we imagined.

A 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6, an astronaut, the August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse in Spain and only 66 seconds of totality to capture it all.

So many things had to align that day… not just the Sun and the Moon. And then, just before totality, the police showed up. For a moment, I really thought it was all going to be over before we even started. But somehow, everything worked out.

66 seconds to capture two angles. It sounds like plenty of time, but believe me, they went pretty fast. While the team repositioned the car, I made sure to take a few seconds to stop, look up, and take it all in. I didn’t want to be so focused on getting the photograph that I missed the experience itself.

As much as I love these photographs, what made this truly special was the people I got to share it with. The best vibes, incredible energy, lots of laughs, and an experience I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Mark @a.c.m.international @flat6ranch for dreaming this up with me from the beginning! And to everyone who helped us turn a crazy idea into reality: @pawgeous @9republic @__michaelgross__ @ngwimmer @lufthutti @pct_official_ @flatsixbcn @juancgranados19 @byevaberenguer @floyd.one

And since it’s 2026, apparently it’s worth mentioning… this is real. Not AI. 😉 taken in Zaragoza, Spain by @flat6ranch

Some places tell a story without saying a word. ✨

Today, we’d like to give you a quick look inside @flat6ranch. During our visit, @a.c.m.international, showed us around and shared the story behind its creation. A truly impressive place, where passion and attention to detail can be found in every corner.

We captured a few impressions for you. Thanks, Mark, for the warm welcome, the walkthrough and the insights into how this amazing place came to life.

Not your average lunch stop.

While covering The Icon Rally 2026, we got the chance to stop by the Flat 6 Ranch in Zell am See.

A former family farm brought back to life by F. A. Porsche’s sons. Vintage details, Porsche heritage, an incredible car collection and a whole lot of character.

One of those places where every corner has a story to tell.

Pretty damn cool to experience it firsthand. 🤘

It was a huge privilege to spend the afternoon with Mark Porsche last week, who delivered a tour of the unendingly inspiring @flat6ranch to 9WERKS.

Nestled in the heart of Porsche country in Zell Am See, the ranch is a glorious reinterpretation of the old farm house on the Porsche family estate, now paying a beautiful homage to Mark’s father, FA Porsche, designer of the iconic 911 sports car and 904 race car, and founder of Porsche Design.

If Zuffenhausen is the beating heart of Porsche, Flat 6 Ranch represents its soul: a glorious embodiment of the Porsche sports car, with some family inspiration and artefacts added for good measure.

Every last millimetre of this place has been thoughtfully considered: the precision of its overall layout and presentation is then decorated with a playfulness reflective of Mark’s character. The details are awe-inspiring… the more you look, the more your eyes will be rewarded.

The masterpiece of F6R was only beaten by Mark himself: a gracious and humorous man who was kind with his time, and happy to sit down with 9WERKS Radio and discuss the purpose of F6R, as well as Porsche legacy and the importance of Zell Am See. You can listen to that conversation now via your preferred podcast platform.

I drove away from F6R inspired and proud to drive a Porsche, and to have dedicated my last 15 years to Porsche journalism and storytelling. I hope my road ahead takes me back to F6R one day soon, the ultimate Porsche Arcadia in idyllic Austria.
