day 1 to the handstand. 🔥

follow along, this is where i start going upside down again.

as a kid i did flips onto my bed. one time it went wrong, i landed on my head and couldn’t breathe for half a minute. since then, anything upside down scared me.

but only those who overcome fear have real courage.

there’s an old story about two wolves inside you. the one you feed grows. today i fed the brave one, and you can hear how that felt 😅

even in the darkest shadow you can make light, however small.

...the truth is: if something isn’t worth your time, learn from it and keep going with focus. 🔥

follow if you’re going full throttle too.

it was a training. after two days i knew it wasn’t worth my time.

so i use what i learned there and keep going.

with joy and with energy, into my new life.

it shows my kids what you can do when you really want something.

an addict always finds a way. few of us look that hard for a way to build something good. 🔥

follow if you’re ready to stop holding back.

a lot is moving right now.
i’m going my own way. something completely new, working with people, inspiring them.

and it scares me. because when it really starts, it really starts.

so i breathe. i feel it. and i’m full of energy.

it’s the only way. and it shows my kids what you can do when you really want something.

i saw that line about the addict in a post the other day. it stuck.
i’ll find my way. and i’ll walk it.

it wasn’t much. a few exercises, then straight into a cold shower while i was still hot from training 🥶

too short to count, that’s how the morning gets skipped

you just feel completely different after it. more energy for the rest of the day

what makes you skip it: too short, too tired, or no time?

I’m opening a small founding group for dads who want to rebuild their strength around family life.

No perfect schedule. No starting over every time the week gets interrupted.

Just a simple system that still works when family life interrupts the plan.

I’m taking early names now.
The group opens after October 11.

as parents we often hate going to the playground 🙈

so we built one. from my rings and the belt for my weighted pull-ups

we had so much fun (me too ☺️)

the first reason i grew my hair was something crazy. three years ago, at our first medieval event in Switzerland, i bought a full witcher armour and wanted to grow my hair too.

now it’s cut off. but the middle ages still won’t let go of me. maybe as texture, maybe more.

was this the right decision? after three years of growing my hair?

ten minutes in that chair and three years were gone.

day one i felt nothing. day two i started missing it.

and here’s the part i didn’t expect: the long hair was never the old me. it came with the new one, the version that left switzerland and started building something of his own. the short hair is me too. it’s not either or, it’s both.

this is the best short cut i’ve ever had, i think (Gracias Luis 😎). but i still catch myself reaching for something that isn’t there anymore.

grow it again, or keep it like this?

i shape my life. in every moment it’s me, even now while i’m building something new.

and if i’m not with my family now, present and with joy, then afterwards i won’t have anyone left to share life with.

my family will never judge me for being there. but they won’t be there anymore if i wasn’t.

that’s why every training starts with a breathing ritual. i breathe deeply in and out until i’m fully with myself and focused. then before every exercise, three deep breaths, a fourth brings me into position, and with the fifth i start.

because a life or a training without focus, the energy just fizzles out. life is always shaped by yourself. everything that comes is a chance to learn. taken in Costa Rica by @flavio.grows

what does she do while i train? whatever she wants.

some days she plays nearby. some days she joins in.

you get to decide how much they’re part of it. they get to be kids.

the point is a practice that keeps going with them around.
