I made a Crane for the Monte Vista Crane festival Public Art Program. This Crane is Installed at 729 1st Street, Monte Vista, Colorado.

Multiple layers of Colorado native Mica float on the surface, and underneath, subtle LED lighting illuminates the semi-transparent Mica during evening hours.

My intention was to create a local, natural material lens to both view and form this Crane sihouette, as our relationship with our local place informs how we view the natural world.

This Crane was sponsored by Leigh Anne Lobato at Broken Arrow Realty, Del Norte Co.
