POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Me and my friends made an album for our band @noservicehq I hope you listen to it.
Now time for my obligatory long post about it that most of you won’t read…
Miguel started making beats one day in high school and I always joked with him that one day I’d come over and record a verse then never do it again. 6 years ish later and that turned out to be a lie.

This album means so much to me and is the culmination of years of growth, pain, and love experienced along the way. I’m so grateful for these guys for making me brave enough to go for it and put myself out there in ways I always wanted to, but feared I could never do. Thank you Jonah, Mikey, and Miguel for helping me realize that my short lived podcast was not the best medium for me to express myself creatively lol.

Thank you Lauren, for being my first and biggest fan. Having a boyfriend (now fiancée ❤️) pursuing being in a band is a very slippery slope into being cringe and embarrassing. A risk you took head on, you never stopped believing in me and supporting me even when the music wasn’t even that good. You inspired so much of my writing on this and tolerated many long nights of noisy sessions from the other side of the wall. Shoutout the infinite power of our love, for giving me so much to write about.

Thank you Caleb for believing in us. I remember sending a screenshot to the guys when you first followed us on instagram and being completely geeked you noticed us. Ever since I first saw your work I always believed you were the most creatively refined and talented artist around here. To get to now call you a friend and partner in this is truly an honor. You helped craft this world into something legible to everyone else and poured so much of your time and energy into us. I cannot express how much that means to me. Thank you Matt as well for all your help behind the scenes. Long live Tinas. Blessed to be apart of it.

Not sure what all will come of this album, but I do know that for 4 kids from Newton we did something very special.

I hope y’all listen. I hope y’all enjoy it. I hope y’all stick around for whatever comes next.

PLAYLIST: RELÄX YÚR MIÑD

FRONT STEPS PRESENTS SUPPORT SYSTEM SOUNDCHECK

WICHITA IS IN ITS RENAISSANCE ERA, A NEW WAVE OF CREATIVITY, ENERGY, AND TALENT. ONE OF THE GROUPS LEADING THAT CHARGE IS NO SERVICE, A BAND THAT’S YOUNG, FRESH, AND STACKED WITH PURE SKILL. FLETCHER, THEIR EMCEE, STOPPED BY THE OFFICE AND BROUGHT THAT SAME ENERGY WITH HIM, DROPPING OFF A VIBE FILLED #RELAXYURMINDPLAYLIST THAT REMINDS US WHY WE DO THIS.

THE CONVERSATION WENT BEYOND MUSIC. WE TALKED PASSION, MUSIC SELECTIONS, AND THE VISION BEHIND NO SERVICE. FLETCHER IS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAS A VISION AND YOU KNOW IT'S GONNA MATERIALIZE.

HIS NOMINEE IS SOMEONE WHO’S BEEN MAKING WAVES IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. WORD IS, THEY’VE GOT ONE OF THE BEST VOICES IN WICHITA. WE MIGHT JUST HAVE TO MAKE NO SERVICE LIVE FROM THE OFFICE HAPPEN. WHAT DO Y’ALL THINK, SUPPORT SYSTEM?

Sup y’all so I’ve been working on a solo project called ‘FLET’ for my senior independent creative project and I’m throwing a listening party/presentation to celebrate it Thursday April 25th at 6 pm in the Wichita State Student Center. It’s a 5 song EP, supported with some traditional research project stuff to fulfill the requirements for credits. I’m really proud of what this project became, so if you’re interested in hearing it before it gets onto streaming services next month please pull up, you’d have my endless gratitude.

On the second slide is a snippet from the project called “SPEAK!”, fun little surprise on the back half of that one I can’t wait for everyone to hear.

Huge thanks to my brothers @mig.ael and @jonahschloneger for helping me produce it all, I couldn’t have done this without them. I still can’t believe how far we’ve come since we made Kahlo over 2 years ago. Also shoutout to the rest of the @noservicehq guys, lookout for cool things coming from us just around the corner. Sooner than y’all think.

Thanks as well to Dr. Kevin Harrison X, who’s helped guide me in bringing this to life, providing inspiration to me creatively and just in life. I’m endlessly grateful for the way he’s empowered me to believe in myself as an artist from the very beginning of our relationship.

Lastly, big thanks to @lmmadiis for helping take the picture for and designing this flier. And also for putting up with me waking you up every Tuesday and Thursday, after getting home from working on this. You’re the best, I really mean it.

Sincerely,
Flet taken in Rhatigan Student Center by @fletchamos
