34°C outside. A marquee reception. And apparently I still thought wearing a jacket was a sensible idea. 🥵

This was Josh & Holly’s wedding at Bordesley Park back in June, on what turned out to be my hottest weekend of the summer.

Between the magic, I was keeping everything moving, getting guests where they needed to be and making sure Josh & Holly could get on with the considerably more important job of enjoying their wedding.

They very kindly left this afterwards:

“As well as performing, Christian also hosted our wedding, and he made everything run so smoothly and effortlessly. He kept the day flowing perfectly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing.”

I’ll take that.

I’d also have taken an industrial-sized fan. ☀️

The winning team in that tug of war got A WEEK OFF WORK. 😳

Possibly the greatest incentive I’ve ever seen at a company summer party.

This was a brilliant afternoon in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, with 300+ guests and a field transformed into their own mini festival - games, a brass band, food, drinks and plenty going on throughout the day.

@oscarleonardd and I had both been booked by @choseneventsentertainment to work our way through the crowd performing close-up magic, and as you can see, the reactions were fairly restrained…

Especially the gentleman at the end.

He was fine after a glass of water and a sit down. 😂

Not part of my usual wedding hosting duties… 😂

Meet Boris, Gerry & Laura’s 9-month-old Basset Hound and, more importantly, the official ring bearer for their wedding.

The rings were attached to Boris’ collar, which meant somebody needed to escort him safely down the aisle during the ceremony.

Apparently that somebody was me. 😂

So, in addition to hosting the wedding and performing magic, I can now add Basset Hound chaperone to the CV.

And to be fair to him, Boris absolutely nailed it. Rings delivered safely and a fairly convincing attempt to steal the show in the process. 🐾💍

Congratulations again Gerry & Laura. This was definitely a first for me!

There’s always one who insists they’re impossible to fool.

And there’s usually a photo taken about 30 seconds later that suggests otherwise…

Another great day at The Belfry ⛳

Honoured to have been part of another KDR Resin Systems charity golf day for Cancer Research UK, which raised an incredible £16,000. I performed close-up magic throughout the event and hosted the charity auction in the evening. 🎤

If you’re planning a golf day and want to give your guests something they’ll still be talking about on the 19th hole, close-up magic and professional hosting make a brilliant combination. Guests get a wow moment during the networking, and the prize giveaway gets the energy and momentum it deserves.

Drop me a message if you’d like to chat about your next golf day. 🏌️‍♂️

Last weekend I had the pleasure of entertaining at @hogarthsstonemanor for the centenary celebrations of Churchill & Blakedown Golf Club.

A wonderful black-tie evening of close-up magic during the drinks reception and between courses throughout dinner.

Congratulations on reaching such a fantastic milestone, and thank you for having me! taken in Hogarths Stone Manor by @fletchermagic

Louis & Siobhan got married on Friday.

Then on Saturday, they brought 80+ guests together for an after-party and asked me to add a little close-up magic to the mix.

Safe to say there were plenty of laughs, surprises and impossible moments along the way. taken in Hennessey's Bar Birmingham by @fletchermagic
