Hello ❣️

Oh boy, what a year it has been. Puppies, a new city, a new everyday life… We returned to Kuopio in September and we couldn’t be happier 😍

Last weekend Saga headed to Helsinki for the Helsinki Winner show. This time the result was just “very good” from the open class. Thank you for the videos @nilssonandaisy 🩷 Saga behaved like the showgirl she is, and we couldn’t be happier with how she looks after the puppies!

Messari has been a hot topic in the dog circles after the weekend. We totally get why, but we also want to share our own view about showing. Everything we do follows the principle: dogs first. We do it as long as the dogs enjoy it. They get their playtime, treats, and love no matter the results. Titles and rosettes are just extras, for us, show days are fun days with lovely dogs and like-minded friends 🩷

What a weekend, that’s all I can say.

What started off as a nice dog show trip turned into total chaos. We headed to Seinäjoki to stay the night in a hotel before going to the Tuuri dog show with Selma. At 2 a.m., I noticed an unknown caller. I didn’t think much of it, figured it might be a prank, so I rolled over and kept dreaming.

Then came the morning… and the chaos. The unknown caller turned out to be the police. A drunk driver had crashed into my car. After many hours, several calls to sort things out, and a few tears, the car was finally towed away. The back of it was completely wrecked. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get my beloved red devil back.

At that point, I wasn’t even sure if we’d make it to the show venue, and honestly, I didn’t even care. It wasn’t even 9 a.m., and I was already emotionally exhausted. And angry. Angry at the irresponsible person who thought it was okay to drive drunk.

But eventually, we made it to the show. Selma was such a happy girl being back in the ring, so full of energy and joy that even the judge chuckled at her a little. And what a lovely judge we had! Thank you, Saija Juutilainen, for making my day a little better with your kindness and the way you seemed to truly love every dog that stepped into your ring.

Selma placed second best female after a full year away from the show scene. No rosettes this time, but honestly, I couldn’t be happier, she still thinks dog shows are the best thing ever.

Now we’re just waiting to hear what the car company says about the damage to my car. Thankfully, it was only property that was hurt, no one was injured. But honestly, I will never understand people who just don’t care and still choose to drive drunk. Please, don’t drink and drive. It’s never worth the risk, one careless choice can change everything in a second.
