When "Annihilation" ‘s author Jeff Vander Meer writes in BFI’s Summer issue that your movie is maybe the most thoughtful and visually fascinating film he has seen in a long time and may be the most underrated film of the 21st century.

Thank you @jeff_vandermeer123 . You made my day. Big fan. ❤️

After October 7th, like many of us, I was deeply horrified, first by the horror of Hamas attack that day, and then rapidly by the violence of Israel’s military response.

As a mother and as a director, being confronted with the killing of innocent children and civilians is unbearable — in a conflict where truth itself became one of the most precious and fragile thing. That’s when journalism proves itself vital.

« Inside Gaza », directed by Hélène Lam Trong (awarded documentary filmmaker), follows AFP permanent correspondants (Pulitzer prize finalists) whose worlds unravel as Gaza collapses, while they risk everything, their lives and families, to inform us about what is really happening there.

I’ve never seen such bravery and commitment to report, to be heard, while being targeted, first through their credibility, then through their safety, their families, their very lives.

I am proud to be part of this project and I thank @helenelamtrong for reaching out to me for help.

"It’s meant to measure their readiness for parenthood, but it quickly becomes a test of identity, love, and what it truly means to be human.

The Assessment is a haunting look at control, connection, and the cost of being deemed “worthy.” "
