Look 👀 I am going through my loofah era. Thanks, @itotribeca , for letting me get this design out of my system.

Definition:

Loofah, a fibrous scrubbing sponge, is made from the dried, mature fruit of tropical vine-grown gourds belonging to the genus Luffa (specifically Luffa aegyptiaca and Luffa acutangula). These gourds belong to the cucumber, pumpkin, and squash family (Cucurbitaceae).

Contrary to popular belief, a natural loofah is not a sea sponge, coral, or a synthetic plastic material.

In this particular case, loofahs were woven into a hanging wall chandelier, accompanied by a Heliconia “She Kong”, a rare and visually spectacular tropical perennial flower native to the rainforests of South America. Along with Oncidium orchids, commonly known as the “Dancing-Lady Orchid,” and locally foraged milkweed pods, burning bush branches, and wisteria vine. by @fleursbella

Every detail at the table had a part to play at the @thisisresidence dinner. Bella’s arrangements blurred the line between florals and sculpture, weaving unexpected shapes and delicate wire through the table setting.

A welcome arrangement that felt like it had drifted in from another world. For the @thisisresidence in September, Bella transformed a C-stand into a floating, cloud-like sculpture of flowers, foliage, and unexpected textures. An imaginative, otherworldly moment that became the evening’s highlight and one that continued to live on after the dinner, finding a new home in one of the guest’s apartments.

Behind the scenes look at these otherworldly florals, seemingly growing straight out of the table. For the Residence dinner in September, Bella brought her signature artistry and inventive eye to the arrangements, weaving unexpected materials such as even string beans threaded with wire, into an almost surreal, sculptural landscape.

Flower Basics in Under a Minute w/ fleursBELLA: Dahlias

#flower #educational #howto #dahlias #fleursbella by @fleursbella

To celebrate the opening of Beauty Space’s new Union Square location, we were thrilled to create the florals for their launch event.

Seasonal dahlias, garden roses, spray roses, amaranthus, and hypericum berries were thoughtfully selected to complement the rich color palette of the interiors.

Thank you to @mybeautyspaceshop and @fisherpublicrelations for bringing us into this beautiful collaboration.

And a special thank you to @samkeeler for capturing the event so beautifully.

A timeless mix of white and greens, with a bit of wild texture.

As foraging season winds down, we’re taking a moment to gratefully look back on the bounty the Hudson Valley and Red Hook gifted us this year.

We love a bridal bouquet with movement, like this one, where the asparagus fern creates an airy dance among the flowers. by @fleursbella
