Flight Time ✈️ : @amandzebanatbrew

Amandzeba Nat Brew, the voice behind one of Ghana’s most powerful cultural anthems, Wogbe Jeke.

It is a timeline of African greatness calling the names of kings, warriors, and civilizations from Timbuktu to Ghana, reminding us that we didn’t start from nothing… we come from somewhere.

“Wogbe Jeke” in Ga means “we have come a long way.” And through rhythm and story, Amandzeba turned music into a reminder of identity, history, and pride.

From the golden age of Highlife to today, the message still echoes:

Know where you come from.
Honor those who came before.
And never forget how far we’ve come.

Celebrating 🇬🇭 month

Dr Kwame Nkrumah and Malcolm X performing a Migos track, AI is wild.😝

But look beyond the joke.
When Malcolm X visited Ghana in 1964, he encountered something that deeply reinforced his belief in the connection between Africa and the African Diaspora.

Nkrumah wasn’t simply talking about African unity, he was actively building bridges between the continent and Africans abroad.

That was the vision:
Africa for Africans at home and abroad.

And decades later, here we are: African and Diaspora culture meeting through technology, music and imagination.

So yes, this video is funny.
But it also feels strangely symbolic.

Because hip-hop became one of the world’s most powerful cultural bridges between Africa and the Diaspora.

“I am not African because I was born in Africa, but because Africa was born in me” -Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Flight Time ✈️ :
Honoring The Legacy of the Osagyefo
At the stroke of midnight on March 6, 1957, a man stood before a nation and spoke words that would echo across generations and continents.

“The new African is ready to fight his own battles and show that after all the black man is capable of managing his own affairs.”

That man was Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. And with those words, he didn’t just declare Ghana’s independence he lit a fire that would sweep across Africa.

Osagyefo understood a truth that many still grapple with today: Ghana’s independence meant nothing unless Africa was free.

“Our independence is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of Africa,”

He put resources behind those words funding liberation movements, training freedom fighters, and championing the creation of the Organisation of African Unity.

Nkrumah was named “African Man of the Millennium” by the African Union and the BBC. He won the Lenin Peace Prize. He stands alongside the greatest leaders of the 20th century. His vision still guides Africa today

Okyeame Kwame has been consistent: the system wasn’t built to make us think. It was built to make us follow orders .

Until we connect education to our actual resources and real economic demand, the cycle continues.

Is our education system designed to build thinkers or just workers to be shipped abroad?

Flight Time ✈️: Panji Anoff

Veteran Ghanaian producer and Pan-Africanist Panji Anoff raises a question every Ghanaian should sit with:

Is our education system designed to benefit Ghana or to train us to become employees for someone else’s system?

He speaks on the dangers of colonial religious institutions embedded in our education. The religious education many of us grew up with wasn’t neutral. It was part of a system that taught us to doubt our own knowledge, our own history, our own ways of knowing.

The question remains: Who is our education really serving?

Flight Stories ✈️ : @xlnc_th4kwages KWAGES

TH4Kwages straight up from the Western Region. Fiifi Selah and Atsu Koliko took the Fanti language a dialect largely absent from Accra’s hiplife scene and made it the sound of Takoradi.

They weren’t just artists, they were linguistic pioneers. When they moved to Accra the language they brought with them stayed, influencing a whole generation of Western Region artists like Kinaata and Ayesem

Language is not just vocabulary. It is the vessel for cultural values, traditions, and social norms.

When a language dies, we lose not only a means of communication but a unique worldview encoded in its grammar and vocabulary.

The Ga people have a saying: A people without their language are like a house without a foundation

Quick question which language do you pray in?

Flight Stories ✈️ : @akablay_official

Highlife pioneer Aka Blay shares a story that explains so much about why Ghana’s music industry struggles to progress.

Imagine an African music festival in Ghana where every country brought a full band of musicians to represent their nation.

Ghana only had one artist without a band. The producer and promoters wanted to keep more profit,

So instead of paying for a full band to represent Ghana properly, they paid a small fee for the artist to perform alone.
