How beautiful was today?!
There’s nothing quite like 24 degrees and sunshine. Just makes everything feel that little bit better. ☀️☀️☀️ taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

A flashback to early Nuthouse days with Jamie’s GOAT wallpaper efforts in the master bedroom. 🐐🏅🏆

We had lots of small lengths of vintage wallpaper saved, many of them from my childhood, but none of them would cover the whole wall. They were tonally similar, so patchwork wall it was!

Still loving it all these years later. Well done Mr.Nuthouse, take a bow. taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

Hello to all our new followers! (Who am I kidding, I’ve lost 10 followers this past week 😆).

Here’s a carousel of the Nuthouse looking clean & spiffy, taken for our wonderful spread in @era.magazine.au 📷 taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

We don’t normally share guests notes quite so directly but couldn’t resist sharing this one.

Rob and Anna said “we did notice you have a tiny duck deficit, we thought we’d fix that. We’ll be back.”

A ‘tiny duck deficit’ - not a phrase you hear every day, but a phrase that tickled my fancy and I was more than happy to hear. The squirrels definitely outnumber the ducks and I’m grateful someone addressed that issue head on. 😆🦆 taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

‘Make the world suck less’ - a motto to live by.

There’s a lot of heavy stuff going on in the world that really does make it hard to fathom, but you have to keep looking for your joy. Thrifting, collecting, colourful wallpaper, silly things like giant ice cream cone planters… they all make my world suck a little less.

What about you? taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

Remembering the time I lay on the ground in the hot sun painting every nook and cranny inside every breezeblock. What fun those bottom rows were to do 🖌️🤪🤪🤪

Bit like childbirth though, you soon forget the bad and look it at now with love and fondness. 💕 taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

Just a few of our favourite dust collectors 🤪
Found in op shops, handed down, family memories and gifts from friends. How sad it would be to have a minimal home. taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse

Spot the difference - day & night

Landscaping out the back has been one of the best things we’ve done at The Nuthouse. We lived with a muddy, weedy back garden for far too long as I think we were worried about the upkeep of a second garden and making more work for ourselves (but being two green thumbs, it hurt to look at it!). We really should have done it years ago.

The trick was no grass, all gravel, lots of natives and spots to relax and enjoy. taken in Flinders by @flindersnuthouse
