Yarn is @langyarns_nordic Yak in colour 68 and it’s very soft but to be quite honest I’m debating the cost of the yarn compared to other soft yarns and also considering the many knots in the yarnballs. One had 4 knots and that means a lot extra yarn ends sewing in nicely

A little photoshoot of my finished Norma (before bath) and if you tuck under the long neck it can be styled with an oversized shirt underneath (thanks hubby 😂)

This knit flew off my needles even though I’ve knitted it once before in the original colours.

Thanks to sweet Valentina from @myivoryroom for hosting this wonderful #normasweaterkal So wonderful to see all the different versions coming to life

Love everything about it and a perfect pattern for dipping your toes if it is your first time knitting colourwork.

A well fitting and well written pattern by @myfavouritethings.knitwear ✨

I was even being a “good girl” and used yarn from stash for the colourwork but main colour is @isageryarn tweed in the yummy chocolate colour

TADAHHH moment🎉 Hereby presenting my finished mystery knit along shawl 2024 from @westknits

It’s very difficult to capture the colours today but it’s dark chocolate and beige’ish and knitted in a highland wool with a good stitch definition from Blue Sky Fibres Wolstock Light in the coloursways Dark Chocolate and Driftwood bought with lovely assistance from the lovely team from @looplondonloves

This was a fun knit learning lots of new tricks and techniques like brioche, mosaic and various “bumps”

Making mittens from leftover yarn to match my Christmas sweater using duplicate stitch embroidery.

I really wanted to max out on the Christmas feeling with the knitted sweater and do a lot of embroidery and beading on the trees but felt that it would limit the wearability.

Making the smaller pieces of mittens with the leftovers means that I can go nuts with embroidery and beads on them instead and still scratch my itch for decoration 😂🎄🌟🪡🧵

Have you tried duplicate stitch on knitting before?

The knitted sweater is called #santababysweater and is a free pattern from @filcolana in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English and German. Designed by @hannerimmen

I omitted the first rows of the smaller trees, used the same yarn but switched the marcipan colour with a grey, left out the red yarn in the collar but otherwise followed the instructions ❤️

I’m going to rip back the embroidery as itisn’t centered when wearing it but oh well that’s how it goes 😅

Christmas cardi with short sleeves almost finished 🎄🎄🎄

Love that you can style it up with a dress underneath or down with jeans. Right now it just “heats” me perfectly, like a vest

Used the burgundy leftovers from my #cardiganno9 also the silk mohair

Tried steeking for the first time. A little nerve wracking cutting into your knit ✂️ but it worked out fine. Now I just want to find some nice ribbon to sew on top of the extra stitches on the inside.
