The greatest joy of my life has been getting to know my life with you in it. I doubt anyone has ever felt safer, more adored and respected than you make me feel everyday.

I love that I still feel heard and seen when we disagree, that you make others feel at peace around you that you ask follow up questions and go out of your way to give to those who need something.

You see me for who I am and your kindness inspires me to give second chances, ask more questions, dig deeper, shift perspectives, take a deep breath.

You’re a leader, a teacher, a fiercely loyal friend, a listener, protector and an advocate for others. I know what it’s like to be lifted up by you and to watch you do the same for others makes me aware of how infinite love in this life can be.

You love with every cell of your being and I will never stop reminding you that I love our silly little life.

The amount of time I spend descending marble staircases in a week is a giving me an inflated and unmitigated sense of self. Please share remedies for feeling cool as hell surrounded by stained glass, ivy, sculptural archways and strong book smells. Rightfully so, the woman at the front desk looked at me quizzically when I came up from the basement after way too long and mumbled, “You’re gonna have to drag me out of this place, when I graduate.” …mostly to myself, but also, …not a lie.

Our goofy, crunchy love is made up of DnD podcasts, tent cocktails, hiking blisters, post work, two-man board game nights, campfire coffee, steaks in a pot and telling ourselves, “tonight’s the night we finally finish Spy Kids.”
