A week on the sunny (and windy) island of Fuerteventura with the love of my life, some good friends, and the occasional cat hanging around 🏝️☀️🏖️

We ate fantastic food, hiked up a mountain, drove on the right (wrong) side of the road, wandered through local markets, saw plenty of cacti, and got thoroughly battered by the waves 🌊 🌊 🌊

A sunny afternoon on the grit ☀️

Perhaps not the best time of year to be climbing slab on grit stone but I ticked my first 2 HVS's of the year (Three Pebble Slab and Sunset Slab) - both runout to where a slip at the top section would likely result in a speedy descent to the ground below. Been wanting to climb these routes for a while now, so couldn't let a bit of sunshine and noticeable lack of friction stop me, though if I ever repeat them I'll make sure the weather's a bit cooler first.

Another year come and gone at my favourite festival with my favourite person 🌲🎆🌲 Spending 4 days in the sun (and clouds) with @tinker_booty (and lots of good friends) is always the highlight of my summer 🌞

Couldn't have imagined a better crew to camp, mosh, and party with, here's to next year 🤠 Wonder if we'll see as many ducks again next time 🤔

Musical highlights include:

•Watching Greg from @betterloversband dive feet first into a crowd of people
•Spotting a little green wizard complete with his butterfly net jumping around the pit for @grovestreethc
•Seeing @deadponyband again, this time crushing the Forest and Main stages
•Listening to that random guy on fb and checking out @otherhalfband, best new band I found this year

After living almost 19 years of love and comfort I knew I didn't have much time left with her, but oh how I wish I could have heard her meow one last time 💜

Twinkle knew how much she was loved and gave that love back in equal measure. She was the best lap cat I've ever had the pleasure of knowing; whenever you were feeling sick or sad, she could sense it and she'd curl up next to you to make sure you felt alright. And with her by my side everything was alright, if only for a small moment. I'll miss you Twinkle, sleep well ✨💖🐾 by @flipperjenk

I haven't been writing much recently, but this is something I started last summer and keep finding myself coming back to. A cyclical embrace of warmer weather, I guess.

I was alone next to a big ol' rock (Trackside boulder, in the Curbar boulder field in the Peak District) and felt the urge to lie down on my bouldering pad and enjoy the warmth when the first few lines floated by my head. It was an enjoyable day, and I hope the coming summer sun sparks some new inspiration for me.

I don't think this is finished yet, and I'm not sure if it ever will be, but I'm happy with what its blossomed into so far 🌱☀️🌱

Almost three years ago we bonded over our love for and similar taste in music (along with our love of cats obviously 🐈) and last weekend we got to share the most surreal experience watching one of our all-time favourite bands together, playing some of our all-time favourite songs (shoutout Wet Sand and Don't Forget Me) ❤ It felt amazing to be there with you @tinker_booty and I can't wait for 2000Trees next week to see some smaller bands with you 🥰🌶💚 #musiclove #dreamweekend #rhcp #flea #johnfrusciante #chadsmith #anthonykiedis #wetsand #dontforgetme #floolplumps by @flipperjenk

Thank you so so much @tinker_booty for coming to visit me in Canterbury and putting up with me for an amazing week of fun, of cooking delicious meals, dying hair, introducing me to my new favourite movie series, hiding fake poo around the house, and summoning suburban cats 🐈 💩 💚 To commemorate one damn good week, here's some of my fav pics of you and us together 🤓🌻💕 by @flipperjenk
