It has been a while since I posted, but especially the @montresbreguet Classique 5907 hasn’t made an appearance in a long time! It’s off for a service, so I thought it was a good time to take a few more shots before it’s gone for a while.
Besides, the whole @fratellowatches team, including @nachoconde, @thomas_van_straaten, and @davesergeant switched to @fujifilmnederland cameras recently, so I have to catch up!

And we’re back, just in time for #SantosSunday! 🥰
First skiing holidays for the wife and kids were a big success! All can now pretty decently get down a blue Austrian slope - with very heavy end-of-season artificial snow! 🙈 And they really liked it, so I guess we’ll be back next year! 😊

A few #wristshots from the past days!

Today is a proper #SpeedyTuesday, but I feel like I have to switch out the bracelet for a strap as I don’t have the tool-less microadjustment clasp…

And then the Tudor Royal with the new light blue stick marker dial! What do you think? This is a proper watch for just over €3k! (Not my watch 😇)

But my #rolexexplorer #114270 is also such a good watch! I love it in that 36mm size. This one’s a keeper! 😊

This is how the week is going for me, what about you? 😊

I’m on my way for Fratello to visit Glashütte Original. I’m very much looking forward to getting know them a little better including a peek inside the manufacture and the presentation of some upcoming novelties. Let’s see what’s in store!

Today, for lunch, the new Breitling Chronomat! Great update which streamlines the watch with that fantastic rouleau bracelet. Now with on the fly micro adjustment, by the way.
Then an afternoon on the waterfront with Grand Seiko and Frederic Bondoux, President and CEO for Europe. We had lots of tea and lots of beautiful watches.
A busy day that ended with a sunny walk through the forest with the kids #avondvierdaagse!!!

Of course, the #cartiersantos was there to get me through 😉

So, yesterday it was Breguet day, today it was Rolex and Tudor day in Brussels. I got to see many of the new references and here are some of my favorites.

The OP’s Jubilee dial is growing on me. If I could by this just as a fun bonus piece, I would.

The green ombré dial on the Datejust looks super classy, it’s so dark!

I also really like the new style for the Roman numerals, it’s super clean.

The Tudor Monarch was a nice surprise at Watches and Wonders and I still like that angular case. It’s a bit of a standout from the rest of the collection, but in a positive way.

The Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26” is another one of those fun and lightweight watches. I’d probably never buy one, but definitely fun to play around with.

In the end, though, inwas still very happy to go home with my neo-vintage Explorer #114270. That’s the one for me.

As soon as I got up this morning, I went for a run, took a shower, and had a very quick breakfast. I was excited to go and see the AP x Swatch launch at the boutique in Amsterdam. But as soon as I saw the junk that the people in line left on the corner of the street my mood changed. Further down the street the I became even less excited. There was no organized line, there was a big group of people in front of the dark and fully closed store. It didn’t feel good at all. I stayed for a little bit but once it became clear that the store wasn’t going to open at all, I slowly made my way home. I was hoping to see happy people coming out of the boutique with their new Royal Pops. Instead I saw drunk, stoned, and hungover flippers…😔
I was wearing my #MoonSwatch Mission to Saturn this morning, but when I came home I quickly switched to the #cartiersantos which always makes me happy again!
The statement released by Swatch is also so disappointing and embarrassing. It doesn’t look like the company feels sorry or takes any responsibility in any way. 🤔
I really don’t get why Swatch hasn’t learned from its MoonSwatch launch experience… these kind of launches ruin it for the fans.

Not everything has to be new all the time!

Here’s a pre-owned and used #SeikoDiver, a very comfortable, old pair of jeans, and a worker jacket made out of leftover pieces of fabrics.

Oh yes, and the bezel is misaligned 🙈

I get that some people are against the plastic Royal Pop, but at the same time they also look like a lot of fun. I can’t wait to go hands-on with one to see what they’re like “in the plastic”. 😉

Surprise, it’s #SpeedyTuesday again! 🏁
So, who’s excited for the upcoming AP x Swatch Royal Pop!? I know I am! It kinda feels like when the first MoonSwatch came out. I’m definitely not going to stand in line, but I’ll certainly check out the buzz at the Swatch boutique here in Amsterdam. 🐝
I got quite a bit colder this week, so I pulled out the old Patagonia again 😔
