Sweet Gene is an @akousticanarchy jangly alt-rock sweetheart, with arpeggiated guitars and dreamy sensibilities.

Supporting is Peter Cat, an eclectic Glaswegian project making music in the vein of "Pulp meets King Crimson meets Franz Ferdinand meets John Grant". Quite the genre

And old friends Dear Lichen, with their addictive guitar pop sound which can get any room from here to Tokyo gyrating.

Social Youth Cult + friends!

Hailing from Newcastle, Social Youth Cult are a scratchy, cold, vigorous and delightfully dark troupe of musicians with massive sound capabilities. Expect buzzing energy in the lineage of 80s post-punk/goth.

Supporting are....

Bleep Test, a "goth-punk-new-wave nonsense" band incorporating very fun synthetic sounds with guitars to make something entirely compelling.

Enabling Behaviour, Cardiff-based band with very strong and spiky guitar parts which will make even the most musically unwell say Wow!

And #VALUE! , long time friend of FLK with a nurtured new set using bleepy guitar parts and a bass that sounds like its striding down the road. They have also opened for Zack Polanski.

Student/unwaged tickets are £6 to keep things accessible

FLK PRESENTS....
A NIGHT OF F(O)LK MUSIC

All the way from the USA, hemlock is the swamp certified alt-folk jamboree movement of creative magnate Carolina Chauffe. Touting a prolific discography of hundreds of self released songs and a litter of studio albums with a rotation of musical collaborators, this is not to be missed for ye folk heads.

Westelaken hail from Toronto, Canada as their finest, twangiest and most literate alt-country quartet. Stylistically hard to pin down, with folk, country, punk, pub rock, piano rock and more being blended into a delicious auditory soup. Not one to miss!

Accompanying the wayward travellers are local acts Creepy Crawly, known FLK veterans of dreamy folky heritage, and Doghouse, DIY deadpan folk artist with intricate fingerpicked guitar sound.

Show up and let the sound serenade your ear holes. Tickets are on a sliding scale from £7.70 to £15.40, depending how generous you're feeling :) you can find them in my bio.

Opening are stripped down versions of ROBO, York indie merchants performing their beautiful Ballads before us,

GULLET, Salford musical madness, stripped down to just 2 members to serenade us !

And UFOE! Guitar music for out n abouters such as your lovely self.

All followed by a Supercrush DJ Set so we can all dance into the night together 🕺🕺

We are SUPER excited here at Supercrush to be hosting the Manchester leg of the @autocamperband & @bramwellband tour! Two of the most exciting bands in the world right now gracing Manchester’s finest stage! (Upstairs at The Lloyd’s, Chorlton)! 🍺

Very soon!

Join us for Italo-Brazillian post-punk electronica duo Hate Moss on the UK leg of their world tour! Their new album is a hoot and will send the roof of Blah spinning up, up and away.

They are joined by a duo noise set from Capsule, a psychedelic FLK favourite, and #VALUE!, a local pop group endorsed by famed greeny Zack Polanski.

Opening the evening is Creepy People. The less said the better.

Supercrush & FLK Gigs present… AUTOCAMPER & BRAMWELL LIVE AT KAMERA! 🎈

This July join us at Chorlton’s best venue to relish in the sweet sounds of guitar pop from some of its best young practitioners. ⚡️

A is for… Autocamper are a band based in Manchester but from all over the place. They’re noisy, brash, and unapologetic in their love for a catchy hook. Having recently had a lineup shuffle, expect a new take on classics, but the same electric energy that rips through their sound. 🏕️

B is for… Bramwell, based in Cardiff, but coming from Exeter - Bramwell are one of the most exciting live acts in the country. With only a couple of songs released, their word of mouth buzz is phenomenal, and the power pop they provide lives up to the hype. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

C is for… come on down to Kamera this July to see two of the country’s finest acts in the flesh. A legendary tour in waiting. The ghosts of Wilson exhumed. The Free Trade Hall feeling EVEN Lesser. Don’t be daft - buy a ticket now. 🎟️
