This was a surprise. Started out as the base for a much more elaborate, almost medieval ring - which I might still make!
I started playing with it and am enjoying its heft and simplicity.
Also is a very interesting foil for some architectural adventures.

What a lovely stone!
Coober-Peady white opal, cut by @alexboydstudio.
This one has gorgeous, subtle fire. Offset setting - 18KG and sterling, lightly stippled for delightful highlights.
