Running puts my body through a lot, so I’m learning that recovery deserves just as much attention as the training. 🏃🏾‍♂️

Spent some time at Float8 Delray Beach floating in about 10 inches of body-temperature water filled with Epsom salt. The high concentration of magnesium sulfate makes the water extremely buoyant, allowing you to float effortlessly and take the usual pressure off your muscles and joints. Not our usual morning at MasterWing.

Ethan started the day with a free workout at @ironvalorcrossfit after an invite from @sarmears at the @delraychamber

Then, of course, we ran into Matt from @float8ion because apparently everyone in Delray had the same idea this morning.

This is the flotation/deprivation tank I tried for the first time while visiting Puerto Rico back in 1994.
Watching the movie Altered States in the 80’s and reading Dr. John C. Lilly’s books inspired me to try it with and without the Fort Dodge medicine. Lilly once said the tank and k are the golden road to god.
I consider myself a floater and a psychonaut, lol, I love to do it in any body of water. The tank is def my favorite meditation and multidimensional travel vehicle.
Salted Water is the most comfortable bed you can lay on. There was a historical tank in Miami that moved around our friends homes for years, @dawnmiller1969 and Herbie Pugh, Mark Martini, Dr. Rob Chaskes, Patric Cocica all hosted it. Hoping to get one at @mokshaartsretreat sometime..
Thanks to Dr. Joe Gonzales for reconnecting me and the tour of his facility. This tank is available in Caguas, PR if anyone is interested.

You’ve truly never experienced relaxation until you have floated. Float8 provides everything for you (towels, earplugs, shower essentials etc) and there’s a lounge to chill out in after. The cabins are super spacious, so you don’t feel claustrophobic. You can listen to music or a podcast while you float, keep the light on or float in complete darkness and silence.
