First EDC in Maribor 🇸🇮

P27 in the final, P9 among the 2011s.
Seeding ended in a DNF after a flat in the rock garden, and the final run was messy too — big mistake in the rock garden after hitting a rock and getting unclipped, but somehow made it through.

Overall, a really fun weekend and a lot to take away from my first EDC. 🤘

IRC Schladming 🇦🇹
Seeding P34/116 | Race P40/116

Not the weekend I was hoping for at my home race in Schladming. After breaking my scaphoid over the summer, I haven‘t had as much time to train as I would have liked so getting back up to speed has been a process. Training was a bit rough, with a crash on friday and another one in a key section on sunday in the last lap before the race, kept my hand and my foot hurting badly. The track itself was really good, but in the race run I was still missing some confidence, especially at higher speeds. I didn‘t have the confidence yet to fully commit and carry the speed I know i can. Still happy to be back racing and taking positives from the weekend. Now it‘s time to reset and focus on Maribor! 🇸🇮

Race 7 - Ags Lermoos
Finished P10
The race was okay overall, but with a bruised wrist and shoulder, I couldn’t give it everything. In the race run my chain came off for a few seconds, and I had a few mistakes that ended up costing me valuable time.
Hopefully I‘ll be back on the bike soon and ready for the next races.

Race 6 – Austrian Championship | Serfaus
Finished P13
The Austrian Championship is over for this year. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the result I was hoping for. I haven’t been able to put down a run lately, and Serfaus wasn’t my favorite track.
Overall, the weekend was really fun with great people.
Hyped for the next race in Lienz!

First four races of the season are done. Results were not how I wanted them to be but the next races count.

Race 1 - AGS Schöckl
Finished P12.
The track was great overall, apart from one section that was all about pure pedaling power. Combined with illness and allergies, it made for a challenging start to the season, but it was a good first race and an important learning experience.

Race 2 - AGS & UCI C2 Weissensee
P13 in the AAGS race & P9 in the UCI C2 race.
The track was really good overall, but I had some problems during my race runs. In the AAGS race I crashed once, and in the UCI C2 race I slipped on a root and missed my line. Despite that, it was a solid weekend with two good races and valuable experience.

Race 3 - Rookies Cup Kranjska Gora
P3 in seeding and P4 in the final.
The track was a flowline with one root section. In a dusty corner I slipped and rode into the grass. When I started pedaling hard again, I unclipped and slipped off my pedal, which cost me time in the final run.

Race 4 - IXS Willingen
P11 in the final out of 71 riders.
The track was really good and I felt strong in practice. In seeding I did a clean, controlled run, and in the final I made a big line choice mistake that cost me some time. Still, finishing P11 in a strong international field was a solid result to build on.

Hyped for the upcoming races.
