POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s been a minute since I last introduced myself, and new headshots felt like the perfect excuse! 🤍

Hi, I’m Cali!

First and foremost, I’m a mom to three little ones—our daughter and identical twin boys. My husband and I have our hands full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I was born and raised in Door County, spending my childhood biking to Ephraim Beach, running around with my cousins, and jumping off docks before cold plunges were cool. When I wasn’t outside, I was probably rearranging my bedroom. Turns out, that was an early sign of what was to come!

After earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees and spending several years working in higher education, flipping a house with my husband and his family sparked a career change. For the past 11 years, I’ve worked in interior design, specializing in flooring and helping clients bring their spaces to life through thoughtful selections, finishes, and design. What started as one house flip has become a big part of our lives, with my husband now flipping houses full-time. Needless to say, there’s usually a project (or five!) happening in our world.

Outside of work, I have a love for hunting down vintage, antique, and pre-owned pieces. I believe the most beautiful spaces are collected over time, mixing old with new and incorporating pieces with a little history and character.

Most recently, my husband and I purchased and restored our first short-term rental in Egg Harbor, bringing our Green Bay life and my Door County roots together in a really special way. Having a place of our own where I grew up has been a lifelong dream, and getting to share that place with our children makes it even more meaningful.

Life has come full circle in so many ways, and I’m grateful for all the little detours that brought me here. 🤍 by @floor_by_cali

After more than a year of dreaming, planning, collecting, and renovating, we’re finally ready to share something we’ve been so excited about...

My husband, Blair, and I are restoring a 100-year-old cottage in the heart of Egg Harbor, and we can’t wait to bring you along for the journey.

Follow along as we balance renovations, family life with our 3-year-old twins, Wesley & Morgan, and our 6-year-old daughter, Goldie, while breathing new life into this special home.

From the very beginning, this project was created with family time in mind—a place where memories are made. Located just steps from the beach, ice cream shops, coffee, restaurants, and all the charm that makes Egg Harbor so special, we hope this cottage will become a place your family loves as much as ours.

If all goes as planned, we’ll be welcoming guests by the end of summer.

We’re so excited to share the transformation with you. 🤍 #doorcounty #eggharbor #eggharbordoorcounty #beachpathcottage #renovation by @floor_by_cali

We get told all the time how fun it must be to flip houses. And believe me, it is and we love it… but it’s also super nasty. Most houses are so unloved and unkept, you’re on super tight budgets and margins. But I love the challenge and pride myself in always finding quality items for a bargin. It’s a privilege to polish up these houses and bring them back to life for the next family.

Thank you for coming on this journey with me the past year. In 2025 I tried hard to be more consistent with posts- and like most new year resolutions- I started off strong and tapered off here and there in the end. While the main focus of this page is flooring design- it’s been fun to show other sides of design I love as well. I’ve got so much in store in 2026, and I can’t wait to share. by @floor_by_cali

Happy Holidays from my family to yours 🎄

Classic, bold, and playful rolled into a beautiful river home. Forever greatful to clients with amazing taste who trust the process. by @floor_by_cali

That’s a wrap.

This river home renovation took over a year to complete and was well worth the wait.

The world was our oyster when it came to product selection, and it was so fun to have the unique opportunity to help the client with paint/trim colors, cabinetry design, and countertops to make sure every space came together flawlessly.

Each room after the next was my favorite. Bravo @theodores_house for the most space. You are fearless, creative, classic, and bold. Cherry on the cake is gaining a beautiful friend. by @floor_by_cali

Today I had the unique opportunity to visit the @annsacks showroom in Kohler, Wisconsin with a designers for a very special project. It was a great way to discover how other showrooms display their selections and also push myself to finally ship the samples I’ve had on pause for a while now 🤩. It’s so beautiful to collaborate with other creatives and build these amazing properties together. Stay tuned.

I’ve had my eye on this piece of pottery for a while now from Facebook marketplace. Weekends are busy, but with the price drop and a little free time this Sunday morning- I knew I had to grab this beauty before some else did.

I got her for $75! The seller is decluttering and inherited the piece from her mother in law and is glad it’s going to a good home. It’s heavy, it’s beautiful, and after picking the piece up the only info I found is that it was created by an artist whose name appears to be BABS from 1990.

If any of my smart friends know anything about the artist I’d love to hear!

Planting flowers is my minds way of officially believing warm weather is here to stay. 🌸🌻🪻

I’ve been in search of large terracotta planters for a LONG time now, but couldn’t justify the price tag that came along with them. After years of searching and settling on more affordable options, I finally found the jackpot- no pun intended. I snatched up as many as my patio could handle and told all my friends. Deals this good have to be shared.

The amount of joy this brings my heart, and charm it brings my home was worth the wait 🫶

The biggest professional compliment I receive are repeat clients and builders. It’s always an honor to be able to work with these amazing designers and craftsmen in creating someone’s home. This retail space has gone into a new phase of life, in more ways than just new flooring. Please give a warm welcome to the new @blacksmithclothingco. Same location, but with a new updated look and owners!

The previous owner, Lisa, is my wonderful aunt. She has been an Egg Harbor business owner and resident for several decades. After years of hard-work, she decided it was time to retire. Once the business hit the market, a familiar face decided to show interest, Alex. Alex has been working for my aunt since I can remember, in the summer during summer break in high school, to going to buying shows with her after he moved to Milwaukee, or a simple showroom rearrangement. His heart has been to help Lisa and the shop be the most beautiful and succeed. The friendship they have formed is so wonderful. To hear he is the new owner to take on my aunts legacy warms my heart. Despite Lisa no longer owning the shop, she wanted to send him off with a beautiful fresh start, new flooring.

Wow, did it give the space new life, while also keeping the adorable charm of the shop. Congrats Aunt Lisa on your retirement. And congrats Alex on your business adventure.
