We had some expectations for this morning in the Icelandic Highlands, but definitely not this. After the first hundred meters of altitude we could see into the valley and there it was, waves of mist moving through the landscape as the sun came up. A glimpse of East Greenland 🇬🇱

Spent 8 days exploring the largest fjord system in the world and I’m still trying to process everything we saw.

The sheer amount of ice, the landscapes, our first polar bear and the feeling of stepping on deck every morning to find huge icebergs just casually drifting by. And somehow, every time you looked again, there was something new to discover.

But perhaps the memories I’ll carry with me the longest are the ones in between. The laughter when all of us were running on far too little sleep, the countless cups of coffee and tea, the stories we shared and all those quiet moments simply watching the world go by.

Scoresbysund is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. taken in East Greenland by @flopunktwe

A little hello from one of the most remote corners of the world 🐇

Spent our first day in Ittoqqortoormiit wandering through the colourful houses and meeting a few very fluffy locals.

It’s a beautiful place at first glance but behind all the colourful facades, I couldn’t stop thinking about how tough life here must be. Being this far away from everything changes your idea of what remote actually means.

Supplies for the supermarket only arrive twice a year, so once the last ship leaves, the people here are left with whatever they have until the next one comes. Then slowly winter arrives and the sea ice gives more opportunities for hunting, but the lack of sunlight makes the isolation even more noticeable.

There’s internet, social media & all the things we’re used to, but the physical world around you is still incredibly isolated.

The current heatwave has me thinking back to this hike to one of the coldest places in Germany. Somehow even there it was way too warm so jumping into the freezing mountain lake was an easy decision 🦦 by @flopunktwe

A flock of fluffy sheep, watchful dogs and no moment on autopilot. This is everyday life for our shepherd friend Jonas, built on patience, experience and care. An alpine morning on film 🌿🎞️✨ The air still crisp as the first light slowly crept over the mountains and my eyes couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing. A huge blanket of cotton grass stretched across the meadow, glowing in the soft morning light. It all looked almost unreal as the sunrise turned everything gold. Soon these fluffy little fellas will return and i already can’t wait to see them again. by @flopunktwe

Summer Solstice ☀️🌿

Today marks the longest day of the year. Long before clocks and calendars, people followed the changing light to mark the passage of time. The solstice was a reminder to pause, gather outdoors, and enjoy the brightest days of the year while they lasted.

Ein Objektiv, unzählige Perspektiven ⛰️✨

Für Slowenien hatte ich nur ein Objektiv dabei, das Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS | Contemporary. Weite Landschaften, entfernte Bergketten und kleine Details am Wegesrand, all das konnte ich mit einem Objektiv festhalten.
 Am Ende war es genau diese Vielseitigkeit, die mir unterwegs ein Gefühl von Freiheit gegeben. @sigma_deutschland by @flopunktwe
