People often ask where I meet my couples, and the honest answer is… pretty much everywhere. But one of my favourite “in the wild” meetings has to be Ash and Matt.

We first met during a puppy fetch session at a baseball diamond (sorry, city bylaw 😅) while our dogs Bruce and Olive were both deep in their chaotic puppy eras. Somewhere between the flying frisbees and puppy zoomies, we got chatting — and the rest is history.

It’s a good reminder that every part of your wedding planning journey becomes part of your story — even the unexpected moments and chance meetings along the way.

Social media is such an important part of running a wedding business, but I’ll be the first to admit that I ABSOLUTELY STINK at it!! But they say that the first step is acceptance, so here I am admitting and accepting it!

PS - can we take a minute to appreciate how gorgeous this couple is!! Getting to experience their traditional Sri Lankan ceremony at @theconfluence_yyc is still one of the coolest experiences of flowering career. My favourite corner of the house✨

When we bought our dream house (in original 1958 condition) just over a year ago, I couldn’t wait to finish the renovations and put this collection of beautiful things up on the wall! It brings me so much joy, and I am excited to share it and give credit to some of the amazing artists!!!
