Mounted my Brassavola fragrans x subulifolia today!
On Populus sp. bark.
Can’t wait for flowers!
Apparently B. fragrans is now B. tuberculata and B. subulifolia is now B. cordata, but I’m going look deeper into those changes.

A dragon’s tail, unfurled! This massive palm leaf lookalike is Rhaphidophora decursiva, aka the dragon’s tail plant. I bought it a year ago at the @ucdavisbotanicalconservatory Spring 2025 plant sale as a one node rooted mature cutting, and a year later it has delivered!
This was a plant I was really enthusiastic about, because those leeeaves, dude! They can easily reach a meter in length. Mine is 2ft long right now, with 21 leaflets.

A Rose from Seed?
I grew this rose from seed many years ago and it produces the most delight hot pink flowers!
I had then just learned about cross pollinating roses, and well, this was the result! 🌹

Monstera adansonii progress on a moss pole - swipe to see progress
From a ity-bity baby plant less than a year ago to footlong, fenestrated leaves, this is no slow grower!
California is quite dry, so swapping out the round mesh pole for a plastic backed d pole did wonders!

What a marvel! The intricate blooms of Blue Passionflower (Passiflora caerulea) are large, 3” across.
Its beautiful dark blue-green leaves host the Gulf Fritillary, a stunning orange butterfly.
