A private island resort on the Côte d’Azur? Oui, c’est vrai! Île de Bendor was bought and developed by Paul Ricard, inventor of the quintessential French aperitif. It just reopened as a Zannier resort, and I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to stay. It’s a place that feels both luxurious and authentically French; at once glamorous and welcoming to all. Something I love about my job is when I edit or proof-read a story and think, “That place sounds nice, maybe we should go there on vacation… “ That’s how we ended up on Isola di Giglio, an unspoiled island off the coast of Tuscany, this week - because of @leenelmezzo’s lovely story that ran in our June issue. And, as with all @travelandleisure stories, his recommendations were excellent! by @florastubbs

COMPORTA! Southern Europe’s longest stretch of protected coastline is on the verge of a serious boom, with a ton of gorgeous places to stay popping up nearby. We loved cycling between cabins in the pine forest at the OG, @sublimecomporta - which has just opened a massive new wing. The traditional thatched bungalows at @atlanticclubcomporta have interiors to die for, and are minutes away from the very boujis @jncquoi.beachclub and excellent @imagine.surfschool. It’s a unique vibe - and we were into it! 🩵🩵🩵 by @florastubbs

Little late to the Lisbon party; might have to stay till the bitter end and make a nuisance of myself to compensate 😄 Couldn’t get enough of this city’s elegant architecture, signage, tiles and typography, the original fittings in so many of the stores, and the shopping! Such great shopping, especially of the vintage variety. Thanks to @martinhal for the supremely child-friendly stay, and to @junemingc for the child-friendly tips - I wore my @shopdoen dress in your honor 🙏💙🙏 by @florastubbs

Been seeing a lot of post-Cannes content in my feed this week, much of it relating to this place - the legendary Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. It reminded me of the time I got to be @dshaftel’s WAG at a tennis tournament there a couple of years ago, and what a VERY special experience that was. ✨✨✨ by @florastubbs

I’ve wanted to see Casa Wabi, an art foundation in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, ever since it opened 12 years ago. It’s a good thing it took me so long to get around to it, because as well as the Tadao Ando designed main house and clay studio, I got to see newer additions like Kengo Kuma’s chicken house and the mushroom house by OMA Studio, funded by Rem Koolhas. I also got to meet the foundation’s dynamic director, @carlasodi, and see the current installation by Richard Long. Definitely worth the wait! 🚀🐓✨ by @florastubbs
