Christopher (@flore) Florentino doesn’t separate his art from the spaces it occupies.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, his visual language grew out of graffiti and the architectural rhythm of New York City into a body of modern abstraction – one that pulls as much from the canvas as from the objects we collect and the rooms we live in. His practice carries the contemporary iconography of Basquiat and Haring, tempered by the restraint of Twombly and de Kooning.

Through expressive gesture, disciplined composition and a philosophy of “beauty through subtraction,” @flore’s work aims for emotional resonance while leaving room for individual interpretation.

Design is my whole life, everything about me is curated, this project was so much fun, excited for the next one. I painted 3 shows at this property got the energy right, Designed it with furniture that I consider more sculpture then furniture and all of the art in the home is by me or artist that inspired me. I hope you enjoy a sneek peek of the space, there will be a video interview and magazine shoot coming out soon. Thank you

Some spaces I created over the years
@flore. Architecture has always influenced how I paint. I think about scale, light, interiors, and how a painting changes a room. Whether I’m creating contemporary abstract paintings or designing environments, I’m interested in building spaces people want to live with. by @flore
