[FR Iin the comments] In residence at @lamalditaestampa in Barcelona for two weeks: my first steps with Mokulito, a wood lithography technique. It is also an opportunity to work on a large (for me) A3 scale!
Lliuvia, the head of the studio, patiently guides me through the first print and lets me figure out the second one on my own, while keeping an eye on me! A real treat.
I draw inspiration from the city's lush vegetation to reveal the vitality of plants (I will tell you more about my project a little later)... The provisional title of this print is "Dessous la dure écorce" (beneath the Hard Bark). Does that mean anything to you? taken in La Maldita Estampa by @florence.jalice

[FR Iin the comments] second week of my residency @lamalditaestampa in Barcelona: pushing it forward with Mokulito, wood lithography technique. This week, the aim is to make a large scale polychrome print. Three coulors, thus three blocks to draw on with lithographic ink and pencils. Ink, print, ink, register, print and so on...
Lliuvia, the head of the studio cheers me up during the whole process and encourages me when I look at the final result with my very critical eye... (my registration is not perfect).
As you kwnow, I drew inspiration from the city's lush vegetation to reveal the vitality of plants (I will tell you more about my project a little later)... The title of this print is "voici des fruits" (here are some fruits), also in reference to a poem, Green, by Verlaine... taken in La Maldita Estampa by @florence.jalice

New linocut print inspired by the dance of the sun and the water. It's a reduction print (I carve away the same block to print more layers of colours). I started with a turquoise and yellow gradient and added two layers of very tranparent 3 colours gradient... it's quite experimental... I might continue to explore those transparencies which I find fascinating. What to you think?

[🇫🇷 Fr in the comments] 🇬🇧 Making the last times just as joyful as the first times! As it is the summer break soon, we all had a little festive printmaking session and experimented Tetra pak printing.
Here are a few of the prints made by the participants from 6 to 10 years old in different workshops Coye-la-Forêt and Franconville. How wonderful?

[🇫🇷 in the comments] 🇬🇧 I am delighted that my linocut prit 'Le paysage retient son souffle' was selected to feature in Small print international miniprint exhibition, set up by Leicester Print Workshop on the occasion of their 40th birthday. The title of this print evokes in a poetic way, the stand of the tide, the interval around high or low water in which there’s little change of water level. This moment seems frozen in time as if the landscape held its breath.

Bravo aux 10 participants, 5 enfants et 5 adultes ayant créé leur première linogravure au Grand-Lucé à l'occasion de la fête de l'estampe organisée par @le.hangar.a.papier sur le département de la Sarthe !

Merci à la mairie du Grand-Lucé de nous avoir permis d'exposer et de donner ces ateliers dans un cadre aussi inspirant !

[🇬🇧 in the comments] 🇫🇷 J'ai la joie de présenter quelques estampes jusqu'au 2 juin à la galerie l'Éphémère du Mans dont La vigie (2026) et Le paysage retient son souffle (2024), estampe qui sera également à voir à Leicester (Angleterre) prochainement.
J'exposerai également mon travail de linogravure à côté des magnifiques lithographies de Christian Enault au Grand Lucé, du 22 au 26 mai.
L'association le hangar à papier nous propose cette année dans le cadre de la fête de l'estampe une incroyable déambulation artistique dans le département de la Sarthe, dans 18 lieux de 9 communes différentes ! Lien vers le programme en story et en bio.

[FR in the comments] 🇬🇧 I made a new linocut print based on an outdoor sketch, which will be on show soon during the 'fête de l'estampe' (more on this very soon!). It took me a while; here are all the steps condensed in one minute or so... It's named La vigie (the lookout). [EN below] 🇫🇷 Atelier linogravure de l'association Oxygen Franconville (Val-d'Oise) : au programme demain (14 mars) préparation de l'exposition du mois prochain, (du 4 au 9 avril, je vous en reparlerai) en se focalisant sur la qualité de l'impression.
On va aussi expérimenter l'impression sur tissu. Contactez-moi si vous voulez venir essayer lors de l'atelier du 11 avril.
