Regina Anzenberger takes an interest in Vienna’s Gstettn, a wild natural area, an informal, transitional urban space, somewhere between construction and abandonment. Enhanced with paint, augmented with text or drawings, and sometimes incorporating elements collected on site, Regina Anzenberger’s photographic works blur the boundaries between photography and painting, resulting in hybrid works that are both documentary and interpretative, creating a direct link between the place of origin and its extension in the work. This invites us to consider the dynamics of landscapes and the fragile balance between human intervention and natural processes.

Regina Anzenberger s’intéresse au Gstettn viennois, un lieu de nature sauvage, un espace urbain informel, transitoire, entre construction et abandon. Rehaussées de peinture, augmentées de texte ou de dessin, parfois intégrant des éléments récoltés sur place, les œuvres photographiques de Regina Anzenberger brouillent les frontières entre photographie et peinture, donnant des œuvres hybrides à la fois documentaires et interprétatives, créant un lien direct entre le lieu d’origine et sa prolongation dans l’œuvre. Celle-ci nous invite à considérer la dynamique des paysages et l’équilibre fragile entre interventions humaines et processus naturels.

Mon jardin préféré de Paris, la jardin de mon enfance et de mon adolescence (et oui ! j’ai eu la chance de grandir à coté !), et celui où j’y ai fait l’un de mes projets préférés, la résidence et l’exposition de Sarah Moon en 2013.

🎂 Ça en fait des bougies : le Jardin des Plantes de Paris fête son 400e anniversaire aujourd’hui ! 🥳

🌿 Le 6 janvier 1626, sous l’impulsion de son médecin, le roi Louis XIII publie un édit pour créer un Jardin royal des plantes médicinales à Paris, sans se douter du destin incroyable qui l’attend : c’est le futur @jardindesplantesdeparis.

🏛️ Depuis, le Jardin s’est enrichi de galeries, de serres et d’un zoo. Cœur historique du @le_museum, il est fier de continuer encore aujourd’hui sa mission de transmission des connaissances scientifiques au plus grand nombre.

Nous sommes impatients de découvrir ce que les 400 ans prochaines années nous réservent… 🥰🎉

💜ROTLICHT FESTIVAL OPEN CALL 2025💜

It’s time! Rotlicht Festival for Analog Photography Vienna officially starts their open call 2025. This year’s theme is “Life After Extinction?” and we are looking forward to receiving your international submissions on this topic!

A professional jury will select the 20 winners from all submitted (analog or hybrid) photographic projects, which will be exhibited in the festivals main exhibition in Vienna November 21-30, 2025. The Grand Prix winner will also be awarded a solo exhibition in Vienna and their winning project will be featured on the cover of this year’s catalog.

⚡️How to participate: On our website under ‘open call’ you will find all information about the conditions of participation, a Q&A section as well as the submission form. Find the link in our bio or at www.rotlicht-festival.at/open-call/.
Entry fee: 15€ per project.

⚡️Deadline for submission: July 31, 2025.
