urlaub mit sayang im volvo part 1 🌀*️⃣🩵🫂💕😼 by @florencemoniquejacobi

When you feel inspired by an image, you keep it in mind. What would happen if inspiration forces you to then take another image? Over the span of a month, we exchanged images between the three of us in a clockwise order. Every subsequent image taken was visually connected to the previous one. They could be related by color, form, composition, subject or feeling. We built up a small catalogue of images, each new one resembling each last one.

Through their work, they intertwine personal themes with bigger social relevant projects: creating a typeface that is inspired by grandmas stitch patterns, collecting people’s dear-hearted brief letters that were send and received in past lives or making a book about the life lessons of all ages between 6 and 99 (@6bis99_archive).

Florence Monique (@florencemoniquejacobi) and Selma Hühner (@selma.huehner)

are two emerging graphic designers based in Berlin. Their practice moves between socially relevant topics and whatever sparks their curiosity. They work across editorial design, typography, graphic design, and a range of hands-on and experimental creative processes, exploring different ways of translating ideas into visual forms.

If you want to find them, just look out for two people jumping hand in hand down the street, wine in hand, talking about whether they’d rather be a pineapple or a coconut.
