2:43:18 Amsterdam Marathon ✨

Bit of rain, bit of sun, bit of vom. A lot of hugs. We had it all. But 42km is really just an excuse for a group holiday.

I’ve loved this block. Getting to execute the race to plan was a pretty satisfying way to round it off.

We keep chipping away. Naturally, I’ve spent the last 72 hours thinking about how to find another 3 minutes 18 seconds 😈 by @florencepap

24-hour Chamonix cameo for a different kind of race - 700m loops, last one across the line is out.

Didn’t quite get the win, but did confirm that I really love running around mountains and that my toes are very into the extra room in @altrarunning_europe trail shoes. by @florencepap

ok this was actually a pretty sick race. 77 mins at @officialbighalf for 10th place 🥹immortalising for the grid.

pretending we know what we’re doing 🔧 by @florencepap

@southbound400 surprised me in almost every way.

It’s honestly really hard to describe this one. But if I had to, I’d say it’s like mixing a track relay with a road trip, except everyone is knackered and your brain is permanently trying to work out where you need to be next.

400 miles from Canada to NYC, with the winning team averaging 3:21 min/km 🥴.

Only 9 teams. Three days. Camping together every night. Team bagels for brekkie.

We followed the Empire State Trail, which makes things beautifully simple as the runner, and a real logistical puzzle for the rest of the crew.

So many learnings. Mostly - people are amazing when they’re tired, hungry, and trying very hard not to let each other down.

Thank you thank you @hotboysathletics @kimik @hannahkitto @papstelle @lisaj0yce @lenanasuni @kristineoestergaard @lucicoooke @russlahdahustlah @moniiimcd and @kristinawilliamson_ for the 📷🫶

Loved it. Learned loads. Would do again. by @florencepap

2:45:30 London Marathon

The marathon is a WILD ride.

I hoped for a little more on Sunday, but I knew by 10km it was going to be a tough day. Tried not to judge it too early. Tried to focus on the mile I was in. And then gave everything I had left for a smol 13 second pb.

A highlight of marathon week was joining the @maurten_official panel to talk women’s performance and fuelling. Managed 90g carbs an hour on race day, and needed every drop ⛽️

Most of all, proud of @hotboysathletics and the way we keep showing up for each other. Proud of @mrdrowlands for giving 110% to everything he does, and still smiling when it doesn’t go to plan.

Pretty special to be part of the greatest marathon in history. Also - first and maybe not last time in the @soar_running race pants??
