One of the coolest sights in the Florida sky!

A SpaceX rocket launch creating the incredible “space jellyfish” effect, seen all the way from St. Augustine, Florida.

This beautiful glowing effect happens when sunlight illuminates the rocket’s exhaust high above Earth while the sky below is still dark.

Just another reason to always look up when you’re on Florida’s east Coast side of the state!

🌊 POWERFUL WAVES ARE KNOCKING DECK PANELS OUT OF JUNO BEACH PIER!

The Atlantic has been absolutely pounding Juno Beach Pier today! Strong winds, massive swells, and king tides have combined to create some incredible conditions along our coastline.

I flew my drone around the pier this morning and captured huge waves crashing over the deck in slow motion. At the end of the video, you can see where several wooden deck panels have been knocked out by the powerful surf.

📞 I called the pier to find out what happened, and here's what they told me:

Approximately 15 deck panels have popped out due to the powerful waves. Four panels were missing, but two have since been recovered. Amazingly, one of those panels washed all the way down to Palm Beach!

The panels may be designed to release during extreme wave conditions to help reduce stress on the pier's supporting structure.

It's incredible to witness the sheer power of the Atlantic Ocean! by @florida
