From unbound silk to heavy wool and exacting tailoring, each passage carries its own silhouette and its own weight. FLORI DE MAI / MBR AW26/27 We’re pleased to welcome @floridemaidesign back as a participating brand in MBR AW26/27. Founded in Chișinău in 2024, FLORI DE MAI is a womenswear brand shaped by place, memory and a distinctly Moldovan sense of dor. Its silhouettes follow the rhythm of the landscape: rise and descent, movement and repetition, softness and restraint. Each piece is made by hand in small series, using natural fabrics and a deliberately slow approach to production. For MBR AW26/27, FLORI DE MAI presents Held, a collection that approaches the vocabulary of traditional Romanian dress as a living language. Inspired by women such as Queen Marie of Romania, Smaranda Brăescu and Elena Alistar, the collection moves through four stages of womanhood: departure, transformation, authority and legacy. Elements of the ie, brâu and suman are absorbed into contemporary construction through precise tailoring, fabric manipulation and reinterpreted embroidery, creating a quiet dialogue between history, identity and the present. by @floridemaidesign
