It's impossible to sum up 11 years in 20 photos, but I went with those which captured who we became together.

And as for you and I.

I am the poetry, and you are the pages.

Without you, I would float through life without a safe place to land.

One would think the latter a prison and the former... true freedom.

But what is life if
words drift to letters
and letters drift to spaces
and spaces drift apart?

You are my security.
My soft landing.
My home.

Took a trip to upstate New York to do a shower as quick as possible! Arrived Thursday 10am. Finished Saturday 12pm. Start: filled in the other side of the shower area with scrap tiles to somewhat level the floor out with the existing tiles with rapid set. Primed the existing side with P4, skim coated new scrap tile area. Then installed our first ever built with foam pan with rapid set and Jack hammered the cement around the pipe to install our flofx drain. While that was drying installed over 100 linear feet of flofx seam tape with premade corners everywhere, with rapid set. Then installed the old ARDEX SK-175 fabric (my favorite) with rapid set again, then gave it 2 coats of ARDEX 8+9. While all this was drying we made a template of the floor and cut the shower pan. Before bed we installed shower pan. Next day we tiled walls, prepped and waterproofed niche, installed ceilings, jambs, Schluter strips. Saturday grout and out, back to Long Island. 15 years ago we lost him, the best dad, tile guy, and so many other things. He left a lasting impression, I wish I could only be half as nice and good as he was. And in 15 years I will be his age when we lost him. Time is flying. by @florio_tile_corp

Well someone else came in on this prep. The side walls were just no good and at the wrong depth. So we ripped them down, reframed the walls perfectly flat with an old Italian mans method of making a straight wall (one day I’ll make a YouTube video because I see so many cringe worthy methods out there) and we added blocking for Grab rails. The shower head was completely out of plumb with the shower body and in correcting this we found the stud was twisted inches. No problem. How did the plumber let this go?! Anyway, what you can’t see in the picture is the cement board cut perfect around the flange of the tub, even on the side where it angles in. We then installed SK175 seam tape over all seams, and used ARDEX CA20p to adhere it to the tub flange. We then coated the entire shower with S1K from ARDEX. Monday it’s ready for tile...the mold free shower system, why not? by @florio_tile_corp
