My Adventure Rule #1: Create a loose structure… a place, a time, but leave ample space for the unexpected to unfold.

This is how we planned our Landjuweel > Garbicz festival portal decompression. Landing in rural Poland on a farm with no visible neighbors, only fields and lakes and forest.

It was not part of the plan that our Airbnb host would become a friend. An all-round creative, music producer, photographer - @sikora_patryk was anything but expected, wandering across the fields in his studded boots and golden wrestling shorts (see last slide).

It was not part of the plan to stay an extra night, the night that finally found us all making music and art around the fire serenaded by hundreds of frogs and the splashes of leaping carp. Nor that we would wake up early for a spontaneous photoshoot on his family land.

There, in the unplanned moments, is where adventure is found.

1: our band photo (because Floris isn’t in enough bands)
2: our first album cover
3: 2nd album?
4: Floris being sexy while scooping fish food
5: Sweet & Fluffy
6: Polish Gothic
7: legendary photographer arrival pose

The first Bakfiets demonstration in Amsterdam is a fact!

It was fantastic to see so many people join in on the fun, making music, dancing. See you soon for more!

There are these rare moments in jamming where I completely lose sight of my surroundings, my appearance, my facial expressions and posture and where I am mentally fully in my instrument. There’s nothing else. You can see the moment when I woke up from this trip in the last seconds of this clip (amazingly shot by @alexcovert.art)

Thank you so much @bakfietsband @semkramer_ @tijdelijke.charley @joel_van_der_hoeven @ektor1995 for this unforgettable experience 🫶🏻 by @floris.kolner
