I taped off a 9 x 12 piece of watercolor paper into 6 sections, then painted and made marks as if it was 1 messy painting. OMG, taking that tape off was so exciting these are the results. Just playing, but making notes of my color palette. This was the next lesson from @laurahornart #watercolor #markmaking #caseformakingwatercolors #mashaswatercolors by @flossorr

I painted a large piece of watercolor paper with assorted shapes, cut the paper into smaller compositions and practiced mark making with all sorts of art supplies. Thank you @laurahornart for your new class on mark making. This was just plain fun! #watercolor #neocolor2 #poscapen #signopen #lyra by @flossorr

Working on my blue color mixing with another Artsnak by @heatherneilsonart . I just love these mini lessons because even when I don’t have time to paint, there is always time to do a quick, enlightening lesson. #acrylicpaint #bluecolor #artjournal by @flossorr

These are several 3 x 3 paintings in watercolor and a couple in gouache using 2 colors and adding mark making. This was very relaxing and just peaceful to do!The class was @skillshare and taught by @2lilowlsart . #watercolor #gouache #tinypaintings #makearrteveryday by @flossorr

Cleaning off my palette, but adding Van Dyke Brown and Titan Buff…I think I do better with fewer colors for the time being. I, actually, smooshed the last of the paint from the palette onto the left painting and liked it much better! @heatherneilsonart #artsnak #colorpalette #acrylicpaint by @flossorr

This is lesson #3 in the color palette Art Snak class @heatherneilsonart . OMG, I loved all of these colors and was shocked at what emerged from mixing certain colors together. I feel a painting may be created from this palette. #acrylicpainting #acrylicabstractart #colorpalette by @flossorr

A Little Night Studio class @artsfvac this past Friday. Taught by @kristicolbertstudio these are mini collages! She makes it look so easy! It is great fun to do and a welcome to Spring with seedling collages. I will keep practicing and have lots of fun papers to use, which were made during class. #collage #collageartwork #handpaintedpapers by @flossorr

Working on color palettes from an Art Snak class by @heatherneilsonart . The blue palette is just Ultramarine blue, white and black. The next palette is 3 yellows and white and black. It is amazing the colors you can make with a limited palette. #acrylicpainting #paintdaily #colorpalette by @flossorr

Last weekend I took a 2 day abstract painting class with @heatherneilsonart . Check out her art, it is amazing and she is an awesome teacher. These were 4 exercises using a limited palette and then a surprise color in the 3rd and 4th painting. There is lots more to show, but off to work on some more art. #acrylicabstract #acrylicpainting #abstractart by @flossorr

Friday night I did a collage class taught by @crkaplan12 @artsfvac . I find collage so peaceful and relaxing and the class proved exactly what I needed as a break from news and snowstorms and frigid temps. Thank you, Carol, for a fun new way of finding calmness. I will be off to @jerrysartarama this week for some new collage papers. #collage #collageart by @flossorr
