This week we have a new Scrap Cup and Cosmic Brownie in the case! We will also have a few Halloween treats that will start rolling out tomorrow 👻

✨ SCRAP CUP- Golden toffee cookie crumbles, luscious miso caramel, milk chocolate mousse 🍫

✨ COSMIC BROWNIE- Our classic chewy fudge brownie topped with a fudge glaze and rainbow chip sprinkles. This is a knife and fork brownie and tasty cold or warm 🌈

If you haven’t had them yet, our scrap cups are limited run menu items made with “scraps” and are a fun way for us to try out new flavor combos. Whatever the bakers are feeling that day 😏

Yesterday marked one whole month since the bakery storefront opened.
What an absolutely INSANE month it has been 🥹

The feedback and support from the community has been amazing and we are so so thankful for everyone who has shared with their friends, posted in their favorite groups, and spread the word 💜

Every Saturday we have opened the doors to a line and it continues to shock me that customers are willing to wait in line for our treats 😂 I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that!

It’s been so cool seeing something I started just for fun in my kitchen two years ago slowly but steadily change, and now I get to share this goal with a team of 5 people. A team of 5 people that have been so supportive (not to mention patient 🤪) as I figure out this whole running a business and being a boss thing.

The bakery has been so all consuming. I eat, breathe, and sleep Flour Fable lately, and I wouldn’t be able to dedicate all my time if it wasn’t for my incredibly supportive family and friends who pick up my slack (sorry to my husband 😅), volunteer to work crazy Saturday shifts, or show up randomly to wash dishes.

At the end of the day, I hope everyone that walks through our doors feels how much care and attention goes into our product. We bake from scratch because we find joy in it and love the craft. We are so glad that you do too 💜✨

Our October Kolaches are flying this week! We sourced items from @morningsidefarmmd for all three of the kolaches flavors and I think that’s pretty cool 😎
We also got a microwave up front! Now your kolaches and buns can be warmed up 🔥

BAY BRUNCH - soft brioche bun topped with hashbrowns, old bay cheddar sauce, bacon, and scallions
SPINACH & ARTICHOKE - soft brioche topped with our take on spinach and artichoke dip, using Tatsoi greens! Tatsoi is similar to bok choy and spinach 🌱
CARAMEL APPLE CHEESECAKE - soft brioche topped with vanilla bean cheesecake filling, caramel sautéed apples and an oat crumble

Hands down, my favorite Flour Fable cookie so far- and I fear I may never emotionally recover. 😂🥜🥨🍫

And this is coming from someone who is savory over sweet all day long. Give me chips, cheese, pretzels- anything salty- and I’m happy. So when a cookie has me wondering how quickly I can get another one, you know it did something special.

There’s something beautifully dangerous about peanut butter and pretzels together. Rich peanut butter, melty chocolate, and that salty little pretzel crunch- sweet meets salty, soft meets crunchy. A tiny love story baked into one gloriously oversized cookie. It was love at first bite- and things got a little twisted from there. 🥨😂

And listen… I fully intended to practice moderation. But then I tasted it and thought, what is moderation? What is diabetes? I don’t know her. 😭😂 (My blood sugar may know her, unfortunately.)

Since this cookie was approximately the size of my hopes and dreams, I decided to share it with my husband. And not only did I give Ryan half…

I GAVE HIM THE BIGGER HALF.

The regret was immediate. 😭

There I sat, watching the love of my life casually enjoy the extra portion I had voluntarily surrendered. Marriage is about compromise, they said. Sharing is caring, they said. Well, apparently caring has limits. 😂

I was trying to be a sweet wife and ended up a little salty. The irony is not lost on me. 🥨😂

Sam and @flourfablebakingco team, OMG, can you just deliver a few of these to my house?! At this point I need a standing order, a subscription. Ring the doorbell, leave the cookies, and nobody gets hurt. 😂

10/10. Salty, sweet, peanut buttery, chocolatey, crunchy, chewy perfection. I’m totally nuts about it.

Next time, husband gets his own. I’ve learned my lesson:

Going bananas for this little local gem 🍌☕️🍪💕

I’ve had my eye on @flourfablebakingco and watched for its opening all year, waiting for the day I could finally wander inside. Today, after a long week and on one of those gray afternoons, I happened to be early for my nail appointment next door - and there it was. Doors open, flowers blooming across the walls, and something sweet waiting on the other side. Sometimes a little unexpected joy finds you right when you need it. ✨🌸

The moment I walked in, it felt like stepping into a little storybook. Soft lavender walls, whimsical flowers, warm light and thoughtful little details everywhere - cheerful, cozy and somehow enough to brighten any day.

And then, of course, there was the bakery case. 😍🍪 Buns, tarts, pastries and enormous cookies lined up like tiny works of art. I went in thinking I’d grab something and somehow ended up mentally adopting half the case. 😂

First came the iced banana bread latte with almond milk. 🍌🧊☕️ Ohhhh my goodness. Creamy, smooth and gently sweet, with all those cozy banana-bread flavors somehow working perfectly over ice. The kind of drink you keep sipping until suddenly… it’s gone.

Then came a chocolate cookie, s’mores cookie and peanut butter pretzel cookie to bring home and “share with hubby.” Share being a very generous interpretation. 😂🤎

We’ve only tried the chocolate so far, and it was everything a bakery cookie should be - thick, soft, a little chewy, loaded with melty chocolate and just enough salt to keep you reaching for another bite.

Even opening the box felt special. The floral paper, beautiful packaging and tiny details - everything feels considered. There’s a certain kind of magic in places where you can tell someone cared about the things they didn’t have to care about. 🌸

So yes… I fear my nail appointments have officially become nails + coffee + “just one more cookie” dates. 💅🍪😂

BIG NEWS!🗞️ Kolaches are available on weekdays now, too!
We finally reached a groove in production where we can expand the days, and we’re not mad about a savory option during the week 😏
These sell out pretty fast on the weekends, so if you’re not an early bird, weekdays are your time 😂

Our Grand Opening Celebration was a blast, thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate 💜

This community has really shown up for us this past month, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you! It’s been so fun meeting loyal porch pickup customers, who I’ve never met (but know their names by heart 😂) as well as new customers who have fallen in love with our treats.

We have a STELLAR October menu planned 😏, but are extending our September menu by one more weekend since we got a late start to the month.

We will see you this Thursday from 10-6pm! by @flourfablebakingco
