El Revolucíòn (or Revolução-la as she is known in Portugal) was ecstatic, finally a drink matching her dress perfectly, a start of a new world!

We were equally excited and got our minds well and truly blown when we tried the 2025 Tubarão Pet Nat by Ricardo Garrido and Márcio Lopes. A field blend grown on sand dunes near the sea in the Douro region of Portugal. It easily makes it into the top 10 list of sparkles we've had this year. There is so much going on I find it even harder than usual to describe the experience. It opens up with something bordering japanese piwi grapes (think Delaware) which is insanely high praise coming from me. The mouth continues with plum lambic beer, strawberries, peach and green apples. The long pleasing end has a sweet and sour candy taste that I just adore. I'm desperately trying not to be to to hyperbolic here but dude, that petnat is a killer!

Thank you again @boapressao for giving us another amazing Portuguese experience!

Y'all peeps in Sweden should do yourself a solid and get it, should be released on the 16th. I will stock up!

We were all feeling a bit drained, happy, but drained. It's been a long weekend with bday (not mine) celebration @savantbar and random bar visits with our dear friend @ziugiuanni La Résistancé have caused a real racket with her printing press going 24/7. All this to say that we desperately needed a pickmeupper last evening.

Enter Slovakian wonder Charlotte 2023 by @strekov1075 It is not everyday that we get to try something new from Zsolt, even more rare is a new sparkler like this chardonnay bubbler. The nose had some yeasty and mangoish notes and the first sip was a donkey smash of acidity that shook my skull and made me all alert like, think deer in headlights. With a few minutes of air the acidity incorporated very nicely with the fruits. It is amazing to me that chardonnay with a little skin contact during vinification can produce tropical flavors like mango, pineapple and orange with hints of lime and apples. This is just an amazing drink, sort of reminiscent of Don Zsolt but with totally different grapes. It is super drinkable right now but I suspect it will age beautifully, I might never know though as I've already started to chill our second and last bottle!

Happy, restored and reinvigorated we are ready to take on the week, bring it on!

TNM did his world famous levitating dance move "No hands - all crotch" when he feasted his saucer eyes on the latest shipment from @strekov1075 just look at all that Slovakian juice!

We brought The Other down to the jetty yesterday for a sunset/moonrise sess. September in Stockholm can be truly magical and when the sun and the moon do their thing at the same time...you know that thing about Bob and his uncle!

If anyone had suggested that one of my favorite sparklers would be Swedish a few years back, I would have asked them what's up with all that crazy talk. But that was then and here we are. Bäckbrus by @j.fribergwine easily ends up in my top 10 rockets. Get some!

The Other is very happy to be back in Stockholm, being left behind with La Revolucíòn was not appreciated at all, no sir! We are also quite happy to be back after a hollyhock seed related accident (everyone is fine, now)!

We decided to celebrate this happy event with "Waiting for Tom weiss", a stunning wine from @rennerundsistas that we just adore! Didn't know we had any left but that's the true magick of an unsorted mind like mine, magic finds happen! Do yourself a solid and use your swiping power to check out a wine sess from the island and this mornings sunrise if you creep all the way to the end!

Yesterday was a magic evening on the island. The type of evening that can only happen in September. The sea was so tranquil it almost reached glass, the winds died down to nothing, the cows were munching and mooing (please tell me that's a thing), and the skies were filled with huge flocks and murmurations of migrating birds. I have never seen that many white wagtails before.

We enjoyed the greatest show on earth with a bottle of 2024 Natural Orange by Eschenhof Holzer. A 100% Grüner Veltliner in a practical 1 liter bottle. Nothing too fancy, a perfectly tasty Austrian glou glou. Think orange, lime, honey, and apples and you get the gist of it. And at that price it's a no-brainer.

The Other, who has finally forgiven us for leaving her behind, joined us for a barb sess down at the beach. We desperately needed energy in preparation for the election today. Feels like a lot is riding on it and I hope that the Swedish people vote with heart, inclusion, and reason rather than that wallet.

In line with the need for energy we decided to pop Koreaa 2024 from @weingutjb It always surprise me with all that zazziness! Grüner veltliner, Scheurebe, Weissburgunder, Neuburger, Welschriesling, Zweigelt, among others grapes. Hand harvested and stored on very old wood before growing up on lees for 6 months. Nothing added, nothing removed. As you can guess there is a lot going on here. Loads of zest and salinity but also fruits, fruits, fruits. It's glouabillity is beyond and it's just a "chug,chug,chug" and the magic trick is complete. Look mum, no wine!

La Revolucíòn and The Other were left behind when we left the island a month ago. We found them down at the beach, wearing nothing but straw skirts, where they built a huge sign from seashells that read "send more shrooms". Not sure whats going on!?!

In celebration of the joyous reunion we decided to pop our favorite and trusted UMAMI. The time to drink UMAMI is always "right now" and we try to live by that credo. UMAMI is just insanely good and always plasters a silly smile of contentment all over our gobsmackers.

Thank you @milannestarec and @lenkanestarcova you are stars!

Side note: bonus point if you got the movie reference hidden in all that rumbling!

Just crazy how energized I felt and feel after another amazing lunch tasting event with @fruktstereo @vinstereo and @rosforthsweden My wallet is shaking in fear now!

Thank you @karlfredriksjostrom for being the outstanding dude you are! That sweet SWEET was as sweet as sweet can be, and that is sweet!

TooO is in total awe! She hasn't moved for hours on end, just staring at the bottle, wondering how they managed to fit a rope behind the label, and the strength needed to carry that stone!

We are equally awed by the drinkabillity of the Douro juice. Nat Cool Espera red that comes in the Nat Cool super practical 1 liter bottle. Castelão grapes grown on clay and lime stone, exposed to ocean winds. Acid driven, super fresh "little" fruit bomb. Cherries, black currant, and strawberries a plenty. Sip sip and it's gone, like a magic trick!

As always another fun experience from our friends @boapressao thank you!!!

Now go get some, should be released at SB now

Some things in life gives me hope, acts of totally unexpected kindness. @jagochyoga have some truly spectacular poppies (swipe -> and be amazed) and offered to send me some seeds, and remembered to do so several months later!!!

That the beautiful seeds happened to arrive on an otherwise rahter dark day just adds to the joy I'mfeeling. I'm filled to the brim with gratitude now! Spring looks promising and is so near I can taste it!
