During the 450585th heatwave of 2026, I had the pleasure of photographing Georgia & James getting married at a family member’s home.

I’d actually photographed them both doing the legal ceremony a month earlier, so it was great to come back for the main event and see the whole thing unfold properly.

And what a day it was.

Blazing heat, plenty of alcohol and absolute scenes unfolding all around the house. From the moment I arrived, there was stuff happening everywhere, which made my job very easy indeed.

There’s something I love about weddings in places that actually mean something to the couple and their families. No huge venue, no perfectly manicured spaces, just a house, a garden, loads of people they love and a ridiculous amount going on.

The home worked brilliantly too, and this wedding was actually something of a trial run for what could become a new exclusive wedding venue. So it was pretty cool to be involved at the very beginning and see what could potentially come from it.

After photographing the legal ceremony a month earlier, it felt like the perfect second chapter to Georgia & James’ wedding story.

Wow it’s been a bonkers busy weekend for me and today I seem to have very stiff shoulders! 🙈

Let’s start with Saturday…

I joined Kit and Vanessa for their special day. Although they did the legal bit last year Saturday was more about their dream wedding in their dream location with all their family and friends!

Made for the aisle. Moved for the party. Beautiful wherever they land.

There is so much going on in these bouquets when you look a little closer.

The blue of the scabious and eryngium contrasting beautifully against the pink of the antirrhinums, tiny erigeron dotted throughout, alongside the spires of the gorgeously scented lavender. A feast for the senses.

The flower girl posy is a much simpler little handful from the same mix and possibly our favourite of the lot.

Meadow runners are such a good way to bring flowers through a space without everything feeling too structured or formal.

We built these with lots of height, movement and different shapes, using pinks, soft apricot, white and plenty of green so they felt really generous without becoming heavy.

They work so well for entrances, aisles and anywhere that needs a bit more impact.

Small and delicate but full of detail.

White scabious, eryngium and soft grasses, finished with fresh green foliage and tied simply with twine.

A really lovely combination of softness and texture.

One of our favourite combinations from this summer, pink and coral dahlias with cosmos, scabious, geum and antirrhinums.

We kept the bridal bouquet fuller, with a smaller bridesmaid bouquet using the same flowers and colours, both arranged in a loose, natural style.

Bright, seasonal and a little bit wild!
