Hey everyone! As Flower Factory continues to bloom, we felt the need to put some core principles out there so that we can all be on the same page about safety and respect.

We’re a group of queers with day jobs and the privilege of some nightlife experience. We can’t create the spaces we do without you, and we want everyone who comes to feel invested in the vibe. Let’s keep it cute, and we’ll see you on the dancefloor 🌸🏭👽 by @flowerfactoryparty

🌟GUEST DJ SPOTLIGHT🌟

@shaunjwright is in a league of their own, and we are so honored that they are going to bless the Factory for our final twirl of this year.

See you all this Sunday, October 11 at 4pm, for a three-day weekend bash to officially start closing out summer. Advanced tickets (in our bio) are recommended - prices will go up at the door!

Born and raised in west suburban Chicagoland, Shaun J. Wright spent most of their teen years immersed in the sounds of house music. With Wright being raised in the epicenter of house culture, their love for dance music began to expand throughout their high school years as they partook in the underground dance scene now globally known as Juke.

Wright developed their skills as a dancer in the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. In 2008, they began a collaboration with Hercules and Love Affair as a vocalist. They spent nearly three years touring with the outfit, performing in major venues & festivals throughout North & South America and Europe. Returning to Chicago in 2012 to forge their solo career, Wright began to collaborate with respected DJ and producer Alinka. They steadily exhilarate dance floors internationally as a DJ weaving live vocals throughout their sets in Sydney, Berlin, London, Auckland, Stockholm, Barcelona, NYC, Los Angeles and Chicago. by @flowerfactoryparty

It’s a dream come true to welcome @octoocta and @erisdrew to the Factory. If you’ve ever seen them play, you already know the magic they cast over their dance floors. If you haven’t, well.. you’re in for a treat. Transcendence incoming!!!

Eris Drew and Octo Octa are loving partners who often DJ side by side. Their legendary B2B set is rooted in their shared vision of the dance floor as a site for ritual healing, ecstatic bonding and the pure experience of the power of music.

Eris Drew is a DJ, producer and trans ecstatic from the prairies of Illinois, USA. She runs the T4T LUV NRG recording label with her loving b2b partner Octo Octa. Eris is also a recording artist for Naive Records out of Portugal and conducts the Psychedelic Rites of the Motherbeat at various locations, including Pittsburgh’s Hot Mass, TUF in Seattle, and Room 4 Resistance in Berlin. Eris has been playing and programming keyboards since she was a child. A long-time resident at Chicago’s Smart Bar and DJ for the Bunker NY, she starting mixing records in 1994 at the age of 18. Her experiences as a musician and dancer showed her that rave is a powerful apparatus which can be used to transform individual lives and communities.

Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison) had logged years as a fringe IDM artist and sound designer before her 2011 debut EP “Let Me See You” lasso’d a mighty wave of international house-heads to the dance-floor and helped push underground label 100% Silk onto everyone’s radar. Since then, Bouldry-Morrison’s finely-tuned blend of exquisite compositional flare, meticulously-sculpted sonics, and primal dance-floor rhythms has seen her touring worldwide as well as continuing to produce music that reflects her unique artistic perspective. by @flowerfactoryparty

After taste testing a few potential dream jobs including playing Cupid, being the Easter Bunny, pretending to be JLo, and being a content creator, Pansy has decided that a delicate flower like her doesn’t dream of labor. Instead, she’s going to sail the world with her gorls and get her life. Come say bon voyage as Pansy boards her final cruise ship departure from Trade on June 6.

To our beloved home at @tradebardc: thank you for letting Pansy run wild, bloom brightly, and occasionally make a complete spectacle of herself. And to every DJ, bartender, and party flower who helped make this night what it became, thank you for being part of the love.

Don’t get too emotional. Pansy may be setting sail, but she’s not being buried at sea. She’s simply off in search of her next act, her next scheme, and her next excuse to wear something way too itty bitty. Stay tuned. A girl like Pansy is never gone for long.
