This Sunday I will be collaborating with the amazing @croinagaeilge to host a Flowshare event at @lanzaroteworks from 7-9pm to raise funds for the Sameer Project working to supply aid to displaced families in Gaza 🇵🇸☘️

Croí na Gaeilge is a collective doing BITS to promote the Irish language and is impressively creating bubbles of community by hosting an array of different events all over London -

The event will be an hour of yoga and meditation, followed by food generously provided by @ayaandsuki (incl with your ticket). The floor will then be open to share if you wish - music, story, song, poetry are encouraged. The theme ‘union’ will run through our yoga, and is there to act as a prompt for writing or creating. If you’re in need of a friendly and open audience for something you’ve created, this is the time and place!

Some Gaeilge will be woven into the evening, but no prior knowledge is needed to take part. Sharing can be in any language you wish ☁️

IÓGA DON PHALAISTÍN 🕊️ 🇵🇸☘️ (Misspelling of Yoga on the poster gabh mo leithscéal!!!)

Bígí linn for Ióga don Phalaistín - an evening of yoga and storytelling in aid of The Sameer Project, a community-led initiative providing direct support to displaced families in Gaza.

The evening will be guided by Irish yoga teacher Kim Irwin, creator of Flowshare - a practice that blends yoga with storytelling to create space for reflection and connection. You’re welcome to share a poem, story, song or anything you’d like to offer. The theme is union, which will shape the movement and meditation, and can also inspire what’s shared.

Gaeilge will be woven into the evening, but no Gaeilge is needed to take part.

There will be some food generously donated by Aya & Suki @ayaandsuki for after the yoga session.

All proceeds will go to The Sameer Project @thesameerproject.

Tickets are £15 and are at the link in bio 💚
Free spots are available for Palestinian attendees - please message @croinagaeilge if you’d like to join. Go raibh míle to @lanzaroteworks for agreeing to host this event in their fantastic space.

*Please bring your own yoga mat.

Ní neart go cur le chéile - there is no strength without unity.

FlowShare is a Yoga and Storytelling Event, where we flow and share together to promote community and creativity all in one space 🌱

The logo is based on an indigenous method of crop planting known as the Three Sister’s Garden. The ‘sisters’ are Corn, Bean and Squash seeds - which help each other grow because of their separate and unique offerings.

I came across the Three Sisters in Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book ‘Braiding Sweetgrass,’ where she writes:

🍃 ‘ The lessons of reciprocity are written clearly in a
Three Sister’s Garden. Together their stems inscribe what looks to me like a blueprint for the world, a map of balance and harmony…Respect one another, support one another, bring your gift to the world and receive the gifts of others, and there will be enough for all.’ 🍃

I always think about this chapter of the book - it was one of the most inspired I’d ever felt from words on a page. Just as she believes their message is a blueprint for the world, I carry it as a blueprint for myself, and so naturally the blueprint for FlowShare too. 🌽

After selling out the first two and feeling so elated from the sense of togetherness at them, I want to run FlowShare more regularly - to build a community where we merge movement and creativity ⚡️

If it sounds like you, follow along to be part of the bloom ❤️‍🔥

Info about the next event coming very soon 🌱
