🍋 SPANISH LESSON: LEMON CAKE!
Want to learn Spanish while baking? Let’s make a torta de limón (lemon cake)! 🍰

📝 Ingredients | Ingredientes

* 1 cup of sugar — 1 taza de azúcar
* ⅓ cup of lemon juice — ⅓ de taza de jugo de limón
* 1 cup of water — 1 taza de agua
* ⅓ cup of oil — ⅓ de taza de aceite
* 1 tablespoon of baking powder — 1 cucharada de polvo de hornear
* 1½ cups of all-purpose flour — 1 taza y media de harina de trigo
* Zest of 2 lemons — Ralladura de 2 limones
* 3 eggs — 3 huevos

👩🏻‍🍳 Instructions | Preparación

1. Add the sugar, lemon juice, water, eggs and oil to a bowl. Mix well.
2. Add the baking powder and flour, then mix until combined.
3. Add the lemon zest and mix again.
4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
5. Bake at 190°C (375°F) for about 45 minutes, depending on your oven, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Let it cool, serve, and enjoy your homemade torta de limón! 🍋

Stop translating “IN THE” literally! 🛑👇
One of the biggest challenges for English speakers learning Portuguese is understanding that words like NO, NA, NOS, and NAS are actually a combination of two words merged together.
Think of it as a math equation:
Preposition (EM) + Definite Article (O, A, OS, AS) = Contraction!
