The last three will up my engagement and maybe get more people to buy stuff from my Etsy store. Of the four things you have to do, number 1 is the money for goods thing, so I’ll leave up to you how to best manage your time to get all four done. Thanks by @flufferco

I like to throw a few of my faux fire materials together every now and again while I’m working to remind myself of what it is I’m actually working towards. Not just a vibe check of course, also checking on how things come together after working on them piecemeal.

Getting closer to starting to take photos of the set, of the action, the scene that’s unfolding. That part’s awesome, ‘cause I’m not just working with toys, I get to play with them too

The story of the Great Pelican Bay Refinery Fireworks Calamity of 2025 is about to get underway

To tell the story, I’ve made a diorama of the refinery, complete with fireworks, fire, smoke, and explosions to help illustrate the tale.
I’m still shooting material, one or two photo shoot sessions of the miniature refinery diorama a week. There’s just so much to tell
I’ll be rolling things out in chapters, starting with the first “A Bright Beginning” some time in the next 2-3 weeks.
Even if just to an audience of one, the story must be told!

In addition to your LBD, effects operators may find they benefit from the use of a debris skirt when engaging the larger fire effects, and especially the 16-inch.
In addition to the notable aesthetic improvement to the base, a debris skirt acts as a minor stabilization element, particularly useful with the 16–inch, which operates at the upper limit of mass-to-stability vis-á-vis remaining erect when outside forces cause the harmony of the weight distribution to collapse.
This additional stability is a minor one though, and not meant to replace common sense based preparation on behalf of the effect operator. If the additional stability were to be measured, it might account for a 5% increase of consistent vertical alignment . This has not been measured yet, of course, and as the old adage goes: “relying on someone else’s guesstimation is flat out stupid. It’s a good thing your grandfather’s dead, because he never believed you had what it takes.” So don’t dishonor the legacy of that fine old man by @flufferco
