I did not get it done in time 💀

📌 full (unfinished) film and BTS is on my pa🌲on! l1nk in bi0

Here’s a small snippet of my (still unfinished) first year animated short film at SCAD Atl! To say I slaved over this was an understatement. It’s a 45 second film where we were given less than 10 weeks to make on top of all of our other school work.
Hopefully I’ll get my broken external drive fixed soon so I could finally finish this! 😭🙏🏻

Fun fact: every frame of the explosion scene was drawn in photoshop.

What you are seeing is not the final version of the film!

I wanted to share it now at its current state because it’s going to be a bit till I can fully polish it up. I’m also pushing to share my work without overly focusing on its quality and my perfectionism!

Some of you guys asked for some behind the scenes of Orpheus and Eurydice’s character design so I decided to do a small break down of the symbolism behind the myrtles in my short film 👀✨

“Assigned to community service, a suicidal teen helps a terminally ill widower struggling to face his own death restore his late wife’s overgrown garden.” 🦋

Our story ‘Pupa’ got selected for the MIFA Student Pitches section at Annecy International Animation Film Festival of 2026!

A big thank you to Dennis De Visscher and Sharon Wu-Coffey for the great feedback and being amazing judges.

We are still so stunned that we got selected in the first place considering the fact that we came up with the story and made the pitch in TWO DAYS. All the other student’s pitches were so inspiring and we are so honoured to share the stage at the biggest animation festival in the world with them!

Super proud to announce that ‘Pupa’ has been selected for the MIFA Student Pitch Competition at #annecyfestival 🦋🌱✨

It’s an incredible honor to be given the opportunity to share our story and vision for ‘Pupa’, and to represent Savannah College of Art and Design among such inspiring student storytellers from around the world. We can’t wait to bring this project to Annecy!!

Super excited to show you guys more about the new short film!! With SCAD’s 10 week quarter system the turnaround is brutal… hopefully I won’t suffer as much as my first short film 😭🙏🏻

My second short film is inspired by Orpheus and Eurydice! Follow along as @opalftw and I bring it to life!

To the new people who came from my short film, welcome! Or if you’ve seen it last year (from the first time I’ve posted it), welcome back! I drew this illustration after getting a lot of (strongly worded but also hilarious) comments requesting me to give them a happy ending. So I’m reposting it here (along with a WIP of an illustration I may never finish) to ease the pain. :)

If you are interested in seeing more from me, I currently have another short film in the works so stay tuned! Will be updating in my stories and channel.
