A couple of new mugs from the wood soda chamber of “Alice”, the wood kiln owned by @theye11ow. These are a departure from my usual work but I really love them. Happy Thanksgiving! #mugshotmonday☕️ by @fluxpottery

This soda kissed teapot came out of the most recent firing of “Alice”, the lovely two chamber norborigama kiln owned by @theye11ow in Picton. It was a great firing with an incredible group of potters. I am so thankful to have been part of the firing - thank you Dawn and Jay! by @fluxpottery

The first firing of “Queenie” is underway. This kiln using a rocket stove type firebox which is completely new to me. There is bound to be a steep learning curve and a lit of failure! by @fluxpottery

“Queenie” my new wood/soda kiln is finished and ready to be fired. This compact kiln incorporates rocket stove technology for quick and clean firing and was developed during the apprenticeship of @signekloeve.k @anthonycpottery at @woodfire. It has a door for closing the kiln up quickly which is amazing! I am really grateful for all of the effort that Signe, Anthony, and Simon put into making this kiln a reality - I cannot wait to fire it! by @fluxpottery

The new wood kiln is almost done and I couldn’t be happier. The arch is up and the door is underway. I will share all the details tomorrow when she is finished. She looks great so far! by @fluxpottery
