🇵🇱 Plan wykonany! Wracam z nowym PB, całe 65 cm złotka ❤️‍🔥 Hol nie należał do najłatwiejszych bo przez chwilę miałam dublet brzan, ale na szczęście jedna z nich wolała zostać w wodzie, a ta większa wylądowała w podbieraku 😉 Podziękowania dla @krzysztof.zoladz , dzięki któremu nowy rekord stał się możliwy 🔥 oraz chłopakom z Salmoklubu za towarzystwo i atmosferę!

The fight wasn’t the easiest, as for a moment I had a double hookup with two barbel. Luckily, one of them decided to stay in the water, while the bigger one made it safely into the landing net 😉

Huge thanks to Krzysiek, who made this new record possible 🔥 And thanks to the guys from Salmoklub for the great company and amazing atmosphere!

🇵🇱 Kończąc relację z ostatniego wyjazdu na brzany stwierdzam, że chciałabym poznać miejsce, gdzie można złowić te waleczne ryby na suchą muchę. Brzany na nimfę dostarczają mocnych wrażeń, ale mam nadzieję, że kiedyś będę miała okazję podnieść poprzeczkę nieco wyżej 😉

🇬🇧 Wrapping up my last barbel trip, I can’t help but wonder where I could find a place to catch these powerful fish on a dry fly. Barbel on a nymph already make for an unforgettable experience, but hopefully one day I’ll get the chance to take it up a notch 😉

Pomimo bogatego w jętki menu obiadowego, ten piękny pstrąg wyraźnie żerował pod przeciwnym brzegiem, zbierając rude owady z powierzchni wody. Byłam przekonana, że to rudy chruścik, jednak wśród traw okazało się, że to zmięk żółty. Ten niewielki, drapieżny chrząszcz z rodziny omomiłkowatych (dzięki @michal_wlostowski ) występuje bardzo licznie właśnie w lipcu.

Bez wahania sięgnęłam po jedyną muchę, która choć trochę przypominała tego owada, rudego chruścika od @adamsflycorner , który trafił do mojego pudełka aż z Utah. Już podczas jednego z pierwszych rzutów pstrąg zdecydowanie zaatakował muchę, a po trzech spektakularnych wyskokach odwiedził mój podbierak🥰

Obserwacja pstrąga zbierającego muchy z powierzchni, próba dopasowania muchy do jego gustu, a później oczekiwanie na zbiórkę w pełnej gotowości to zdecydowanie najpiękniejszy i najbardziej ekscytujący aspekt suchej muchy.

Despite the rich buffet of mayflies available at lunchtime, this beautiful trout was clearly feeding under the far bank, picking off rusty-colored insects from the surface. I was convinced they were cinnamon sedges, but in the grass I discovered they were actually Red Soldier Beetle a type of small predatory beetle from the soldier beetle family (thanks, Michał!). These little hunters are incredibly abundant in July.

Without hesitation, I reached for the only fly that even remotely resembled the real thing a cinnamon caddis from @adamsflycorner , which had made its way into my box all the way from Utah. On one of the very first casts, the trout aggressively took the fly, and after three spectacular leaps, it found its way into my net 🥰

Watching a trout sip insects from the surface, trying to match its choice with the right fly, and then waiting completely still for that perfect take… it’s truly the most beautiful and thrilling aspect of dry fly fishing. #flyfishing #dryflyfishing #caddisfly #troutbum #troutonthefly by @fly.fishe
