Some moments are bigger than the game. ❤️

Last night, Malachi stepped onto the field at Lambeau and showed what happens when a kid is given the opportunity to chase something bigger.

4 catches. 76 yards. A touchdown.
But the stat line only tells part of the story.

Fly Like Chi exists because we believe every child deserves the chance to discover what they’re capable of — whether that’s through sports, the arts, or simply having someone say, “Yes. You can do this.”

We’re incredibly proud of Malachi, not just for what he did on the field, but for continuing to show kids what’s possible.

Once, he was the kid chasing the dream.

Now, he gets to be the person showing other kids that their dreams are possible, too.

From a kid with a dream… to a young man helping other kids believe in theirs.

That’s what Fly Like Chi is all about. ❤️

Tonight, he takes the field at Lambeau.

And no matter where the game takes him, we’ll always be most proud of the way he turns around and reaches back for the kids coming behind him.

This is why we do what we do. ❤️
Today, we received the most beautiful reminder of the impact a grant can have.
Dawson/Gosper County CASA shared their gratitude after Fly Like Chi was able to provide a laptop for a young man in foster care who is attending the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
He is the first in his family to pursue higher education. Having the technology he needs isn’t just about a laptop — it’s about giving him another tool to succeed, another reason to believe in himself, and another investment in his future.
We are incredibly honored to be able to say YES when a young person needs an opportunity.
This is what your support of Fly Like Chi makes possible. ✈️❤️
We don’t just want kids in foster care to dream about their future.
We want to help them reach it.

There’s a part of Malachi’s story that I don’t think enough people know.

Before the football fields, the stadiums, the recruiting, the wins and losses… there was a little boy in foster care who simply needed someone to believe in him.

We were fortunate enough to become his family. ❤️

And somewhere along the way, Malachi decided that what happened in his life shouldn’t just be his story.

It should become an opportunity for someone else.

That is where Fly Like Chi came from.

Fly Like Chi was created to give kids in foster care opportunities to participate in sports, the arts and activities that allow them to discover their gifts, build confidence and imagine a future bigger than their circumstances.

I’ve watched Malachi grow from a kid who needed an opportunity into a young man who wants to create opportunities for others.

That part of his story makes me just as proud as anything he does on a football field.

Because sometimes all a child needs is one person to say, “I see something in you.”

That’s what we’re trying to do through Fly Like Chi.

Help kids discover what they’re capable of.

Help them find their wings.

And help them fly. 🦋

You may know Malachi as a football player.

But there’s another part of his story that means just as much to him.

Fly Like Chi. 🦋

Malachi started Fly Like Chi to give kids in foster care opportunities to discover their passions through sports, the arts and activities that help them see what’s possible.

Yesterday was a great day on the football field. And while we’re incredibly proud of the athlete he’s becoming, we’re even more proud of the young man who remembers where he came from and wants to create opportunities for other kids.

Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrate the dads who lead, love, teach, encourage, and show up every day.

And we honor the coaches, mentors, foster dads, grandfathers, teachers, volunteers, and all the men who step in when a child needs someone in their corner.

At Fly Like Chi, we've seen firsthand how one caring adult can change the trajectory of a child's life.

To every man making a difference in the life of a young person—thank you.
