Today we were honored to receive this award on behalf of my Father as the 2022 volunteer of the year for #guardianadlitem . I've taken some time away from social media but wanted to share this as I'm so very proud of my father and all of his many accomplishments. However,to receive an award on his behalf for having such a positive spirit and smile on his face all while helping the most children out of all the volunteers. I will always be honored to be a Gilbert. Love you Pop!🙏🏾 I'll always be proud of you and will continue to honor our name.

Happy Birthday Pop! Love you more than life ! You are my mentor, 1st best friend, teacher, my idol, and then my dad. You gave the best advice and we're ALWAYS there for me no matter what. You showed me what kind of man to be in this world. I can't thank you enough for all the life lessons and principals you instilled in me. I've heard from a few people that I'm a pretty cool guy..lol, I know where that comes from. You were my guiding light and I will continue to make you proud of me as you would expect. I've never felt pain in my heart like this before and I know it's because I lost my favorite person and you were an amazing AMAZING human being. It was an honor and privilege to be your youngest son and rest assured I will keep our family safe, that's my word Pop!
