I would say this summer kicked my ass but then I’d have to admit it’s been a few years’ streak. The saving grace being art, color, light, sound, contrast, poetry. Tapping into the well, like getting ready. Art like washing my face. It’s all there if you remember the remote and turn on the channel. Nothing makes sense and I’m the fool again, the love witch up against a thinning veil revealing portals to being. Visitations and visions. Richness of tone like no other. Sacred loneliness. Even more holy rage. So much to tear down and transmute. But we speak of the weather. I am a pile of ashes. I am also the fire. Paradox has been one of my most revered teachers. I know now I’m not supposed to be as quiet as I have been. There’s something in me and it’s not solely for me and that’s terrifying. I have The Hand of God tattooed across my chest you’d think I wouldn’t be so afraid. Soon I’ll be coming out from in between a rough spot, sloughing skin too tight, tonguing the air curiously. Until then eating my pomegranate seeds laughing at the absurdity, no longer letting it turn to despair. Itchy? Shed. by @flyinhighranch

Our first stop on the road to records! We’re bundling cassettes. Diesel and vinyl ain’t cheap and neither are we, that’s why we’ve put a lot of heart and soul into the making of this round of Jason Dea West merch. For now it’s bundle or nothin baby… or come out to a show to pick and choose.

With the first edition forest green Louella cassette you’ll also get the new T-shirt design and 5” sticker! Designed as a kickass collaboration between @vanessajobahr & @flyinhighranch

It’s been really fulfilling to work with Jason on his latest album, we’ve witnessed for years as he’s spun plates on sticks and worn all sorts of hats to bring his music to you folks, and damn well might we add. There really is a lot that goes into keeping the ship afloat and we think it’s pretty sweet to be able to lighten the load and support music we love! Thank you to all you folks who reach out with your kind words and excitement about the new songs, you make it feel real special that we get to do this. by @flyinhighranch

Currently sitting on months of creative visions. That’s part of the whirlwind life. I say yes, we live, we create together, we explore, we laugh and cherish. Only for a day here, only in town passing through, only for right-now-until-we-don’t-know-when-or-where-again. I say yes because my friends and I live in a river that goes. Say a prayer for the right kind of afternoon and iced coffee soon. Then I can dive into these back burner pots of sifting through images with fresh heart and mind. For what purpose? Because we dreamt it up and did it.
To the folks waiting so damn patiently on photos from these adventures… you get it. Thank you for creating with me ❤️ by @flyinhighranch

I’ve been enjoying creating physical photo albums lately so sharing to Instagram has a very flat lackluster appeal… but man @aureliaannecohen is a dream and I’d like to share some beauty.
I’ve been creating photos non stop so far this year. I’m grateful for everyone who shows up to collaborate and connect. Come over to my home and you can flip your fingers through the album. It’s like analog Instagram. You can tell me which ones you like best and if you have any comments and you won’t even have to type or double tap anything by @flyinhighranch

For my birthday this year I finally gave myself permission to cut into a really nice buckskin hide I’ve been saving away for years. Lots of hours, lots of figuring, and now I have a top I truly love custom fit exactly to me. I’ve never worked with leather before but this definitely sparked something in me. Peep the @spellofflowers silk I used to tie up the corset 🌞✨🧡 by @flyinhighranch

It’s been one week since we released Primitive! We couldn’t have made such a soulful and enjoyable movie without the help of so many great folks.

Each scene / fable came to us one at a time, and we filmed over the course of several months as friends passed through Reno. The amount of joy and chaos that went into the making of this guitar-album-turned-silent-movie-soundtrack-fairytale-extravaganza has been overwhelmingly enriching and inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who helped turn this dream into a tangible fun weird little adventure. It sure feels special to have done this with you all.

Primitive is out on YouTube now, along with the soundtrack album by @_charlie.marks_ streaming on Spotify and elsewhere 🌟 go and have yourself a movie night soon 🍿 and see for yourself just how charming our cast is
