I came across this sample by egyptian/arabic music and film icon Chadia from 1960 and just knew it would fit perfectly with some boom bap style drums. I also recorded some dj scratches and added them to the beat which was just me experimenting honestly. Love the result though, the slight imperfections and human touch to it.

Oriental samples in Hip-Hop: Traditional Middle Eastern, South Asian, and East Asian instruments have shaped legendary beats. Producers like Timbaland and RZA pioneered this cross-cultural sound, blending ethnic stringed instruments, flutes, and vocal chants with classic boom-bap and trap drums.

Oriental samples in Hip-Hop: Traditional Middle Eastern, South Asian, and East Asian instruments have shaped legendary beats. Producers like Timbaland and RZA pioneered this cross-cultural sound, blending ethnic stringed instruments, flutes, and vocal chants with classic boom-bap and trap drums.
