When it comes to motion pictures, I’m not one to mince words. If I like it, I like it. And I REALLY LIKED Masters of the Universe (@mastersmovie ). This was so authentic to the 80s cartoon that it was a bit surreal at times. It is nothing like the Dolph Lundgren take, but a few tidbits from that series were added for aesthetic effect. It didn’t take itself too seriously and it was a lot of FUN!!!

And, if you were concerned about Skeletor, don’t be. He is that dude! He is very much the roasting menace from the animation you’d expect to say “until we meet again” before running away. And his vicious is terrifying. He proves why he is one of the top 5 villains of all time.

All the quirkiness of the He-Man concept are intact and it was executed very well! Unapologetic popcorn movie of the highest tier that brings joy to the moviegoing experience!

Now I’m excited for theaters again because the fun meter was on meh thus far.
